We changed the course of history in Nigeria and we won. For the first time ever in Nigeria, doctors have a regulated working hours.

This historic victory was not achieved alone. It took a village of courageous leaders, dedicated colleagues, and thousands of everyday citizens who believed that those who care for our lives deserve to have theirs protected too.

From the bottom of my heart, I extend my deepest gratitude to Senator @SenatorYaradua for his unwavering leadership in giving our petition a voice on the floor of the Nigerian Senate when doors were closed.

I am profoundly thankful to the Honorable Minister of Health @muhammadpate and the Minister of State for Health @SalakoIziaq listening to our cries, recognizing the urgency of reform, and approving the first-ever National Policy on Work Hour Regulation.

To the leadership of @nard_nigeria and @nationalnma , our NARD President @mohagirei for making this policy your top priority and fighting for us at every negotiation table; the NMA President Dr @balaudu19 , VP @Jebzmanchini and past NARD Presidents Dr @DeleAbdullahi1 and Dr. Osundare, thank you for building the foundation and keeping the flame alive.

My sincere thanks also go to Dr Abdulbasit Ahmad @sir_baasit for standing up boldly to represent our collective voice during the Senate public hearings with honor and courage.

I owe so much to the media, journalists, TV networks, and bloggers who amplified our stories, produced documentaries, and kept this conversation in the public eye.

To my family and friends, thank you for wiping my tears, holding me up on days I felt like giving up, and believing in this vision even when the mountain seemed too high to climb.

And to the 4,774 supporters and the public, every single person who signed the petition, shared a post, commented, or prayed for us, you are the reason the Nigerian doctor can finally go home to their loved ones after a 24-hour call.
We asked for change, we fought with truth, and together... we won. Thank you all. God bless the Nigerian doctor, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
