@OhUrbanity Strangely, Dulles Airport's station has very few fare machines (4 last time I checked). It's probably the one with the most out of town visitors that don't have the app and need to use the machines
@OhUrbanity There are major arterials like Connecticut Ave new that need to be redesigned but pressure from MD commuters and wealthy residents haven't allowed progress to happen.
@OhUrbanity There's one like this on Warder St NW and Michigan Ave NW as well. I've Lived in the DC area for 10+ years and they've really made a lot of small quality of life improvements for cyclists and pedestrians over the years.
@OhUrbanity The train conductor has to poke his head out the window and open the doors manually. They're currently testing/certifying automatic doors in order to improve headways. This obviously isn't new technology but they disabled them in 2009 after an accident occurred.
@ambrosen@Nerd4Cities@the_transit_guy I menu shot of the Cheesecake Factory would take an entire 15min video. Even at lightning speed.
🎵Menu shot, menu shot...🎵
@andrewpanton@BillNye I think the answer is yes, because if they're activated at the same time, they'd take the same time to extend as one, but you'd go a much higher distance
@KimVacca_DC 11st nw between Vermont and Florida. The bus already detours in that section and I don't think homes have access to garages there.
They could still allow streets that go across.
@thejuliedaniel@STATter911 @SafetyVid @ARLnowDOTcom@matthewyoung31@CordellTraffic Basically just for fun, yeah. The Wheelie Boyz are part of the culture of the Baltimore-Washington area. They're noisy and dangerous and I wish they found a new hobby but it's been a thing since forever and I don't think it's going away anytime soon🤷
