@lyta_hall@vanschneider That’s been my portfolio tool of choice for over a decade. Super flexible, since j change my narrative for ever. single. interview.
@mikeknoop Trying it made me excited about AI again. GPT parsed the image, but couldn't generate the .ics; In 15m it taught me how to open Terminal, use generated Python code, and troubleshoot both when I was stalled. I never used Terminal or Python in my life prior. WOW
@MitchBernstein Some might advise against the robinhood approach. Do what you love, charge a premium. Get paid. And sure, subsidize some clients for fun. In the end: fun, fame, fortune. Pick any 2!
@MitchBernstein Funny, I see how long I can go WITHOUT tweeting before I miss the thin veil of social interaction then I swoop in to rekindle the feeling I can’t get on any other social platform.
@Mappletons How about career goals PLUS a strong openness and regular practice to evaluate and drop anything that doesn’t serve you PLUS a regular practice of experimentation to make space to provoke what else is possible/fascinating? 😉
@MitchBernstein Magnet is ok. I miss my old app (can’t remember the name, but was much simpler and more effective).
Cron is a nice calendar replacement
Been weirdly enjoying Pages over Google docs and word lately. Easy switching from keynote (there’s value to the shared ecosystem of apps)
@empathyx100@placebotobe Agreed, but +1 to tpt’s point above, I don’t ever even get answer to tech people they admire/learn from. (That’s pretty telling, more so than not knowing Paul Rand.)
@MitchBernstein I’ve had it previously. Probably/possibly stress related, or some ear issue/virus that caused a sense of temporary imbalance. Take care of yourself please!
@UXbyChris@kobewan Best advice—work with extremely senior /csuite/exec teams and have them live / joyride for the process. They’ll demand it once they see the world differently. Also, understand their needs and break into down so it’s actionable for them to actually invest in.
@UXbyChris@kobewan In my limited experience I’ve seen over reliance on current capabilities vs investments needed to actually achieve what’s desired/needed to remain relevant or differentiated. Also, lack of lives experience to literally do/build/govern/support the damn thing.
@hpdailyrant Common denominator for me though is both require feedback/learning loops that provide forward momentum for folks, eg tiny workflows / tasks within larger journeys and stories to help facilitate goal achievement, learning etc. over time.
