Over the course of a lifetime, we face only a few moments where the decisions we make and the actions we take will shape our history for years to come. This is one of them.
@GustoHQ Your customer care is not good. They have not helped me. We paid for Gusto and Gusto did not file the tax forms. I would warn other people to beware of this. You're creating tax jeopardy and legal jeopardy for customers.
🚨 BREAKING: Gavin Newsom just revealed he was literally mailed a “Trump 2028” hat by a top Trump ally, and he’s warning they’re dead serious about a third term.
This isn’t a joke, it’s a flashing red light for our democracy. If we don’t stop them now, 2028 won’t look like an election in a free country.
@PeteButtigieg They definitely shouldn't have been offering buyouts to air traffic controllers. But how do you respond to @emilysteel of NYT that crashes like these have been predicted for years. And so many near misses under your watch. Why weren't YOU able to make more progress?
@SOSMASK Hi. Cool product. Can you explain the difference between the FM60 and the RPD60. I'm trying to work out which one to buy in case of fire. I see the RPD60 comes with fire gloves. But google says the FM60 is the fire mask and the RPD60 is for toxic fumes. Can you clarify?
10-year pilot here — fixed wing and rotor.
There’s a big misconception about how much reliance pilots place on instruments when this close to airport. ADS-B is excellent, but you’re relying on your own visuals when you’re on short final (the last few thousand feet from runway). Same goes for rotor departures — you’re assuming ATC doesn’t have you in tricky spots and are confirming visually to extent you’re able.
What happened here is you had an ascending mil and a descending regional jet. Mil can’t see through the ceiling; RJ can’t see through the floor. But RJ is on a precision instrument (ILS) approach and is cleared to land, so their only job is to manage glide slope and guide it onto the runway. Mil almost certainly at fault.
This is avoided by decongesting approach & departure pathways, which are cluttered because of nearby restricted airspace.
Not terrorism, but so sad. RIP.
