The magic of watching these players who have fought each other for everything, playing together and playing as hard as humanly possible, is unlike much else in sports.
I feel like Loom has killed the polished product demo. People do a single unplanned take. I think this is a good thing for internal demos/explanations, but a terrible thing for external demos. You can't showcase the product well because it's lost in the poor presentation.
Yall...let's pour one out for one of the most unique mechanics in playoff sports. The FA cup replay - when there are ties, there is no extra time. You just play the entire game again. Could you imagine in the NFL playoffs!?! https://t.co/xR9XL7jrYq
Unpopular opinion, but looking at another angle of the call on UConn last night, I support the call. She actively moved over and into her path as the offensive player was a half step away. Initially, I thought the refs missed the moment, but in fact, I think they nailed it.
This may get me canceled….but I’m watching the Floor, and am fascinated by how many Black historical figures and experiences are being missed. Things that I think Black America thinks of as table stakes - Mae Jemison, Diff’rent World, George Washington Carver. Learning a lot!
It feels very clear to me that the subtext though, is the liberals saying, "WE think that he shouldn't be on the ballot - just ask us!" But of course, that statement is invalidated by the requirement of an act of Congress that the conservatives forced into the decision.
I also appreciate the restraint showed by the liberal justices in joining the conclusion to de-politicize the issue, while also making clear the overstep that they see.
Supreme Court managed to make a compelling argument as to why the Colorado Supreme Court's ruling was flawed, without actually directly challenging any of their conclusions, largely because they are able to consider federal questions that Colorado, of course, can't.
@JoePompliano@WSJ My running theory has been that the studios are trying to find legal methods to rebuild the near collusion they had with cable. A joint venture is a great way to do it. This could halve cable and cable-like subscriptions. Conservatively.
