This is Vian. From what I could gather he is 8 years old. He hunts animals all day and then sells them on the side of the road to passers by to help support his family. They live together in a hut made out of wood and corrugated iron in the jungle. No running water. No electricity. Definitely no Nintendo xp4006.

I can't pretend to know about the reality of growing up here, but to see a kid so young that lives and breathes so many honourable values is inspiring. Hard work. Resilience. Humility. Values that we aren't alway forced to live by in the comfort & luxury of the west, but values so based in the truth of our progression as a species that they carry through even in the hardest of times.

Can't wait to sit my future kids down and show them this photo when they complain about not having the latest (insert whatever bs thing is trending here).
