@JoeFreshgoods This is 100% correct, but the other brands can't do it because they're much bigger than NB and public companies vs NB being private. NB is perfect for this setup yall have. Big enough to make an impact, but small enough not to get in the way
After a while it’s just math. You can’t grow bigger when you’re already the biggest footwear and apparel company the Earth has ever seen. Of course it got smaller
All of a sudden everybody thinks they know exactly where Nike went wrong lol. It’s a big ass company that got smaller. Nike is Thanos fighting the Avengers. You can only fend off 50 competitors for so long
Yea, they made some missteps like every company. Adi, NB, Lulu, Alo, etc are not executing their initiatives that much better than Nike. None of them just never controlled 75-80% of their respective markets like Nike did.
@GawdofFrames The ones going for a cash grab all sell the same stuff; Harley Davidson, sports teams, wrestling and music artists. Nothing with personality
@HoodyJandro This isn’t a consumer problem. It’s a company problem. What you want is more exclusivity cause that’s essentially how you miss something. But for the most part there’s enough to go around now cause if you miss the company just makes more 2yrs later
@GawdofFrames Sneakers are mainstream now and we’re at the part of the game where the incentive to control supply is low. That’s an always bad situation for collectors. Basically it’s not the consumers fault. It’s on the companies for killing the fun in collecting
@GawdofFrames With mainline basic sweats, I agree 100%. I have current mainline stuff that’s not the basics. A double breasted blazer, some wide leg suit pants, and a bomber. Honestly some of my best made pieces in a lot of ways.
@mcuban The companies that gate usage of AI tools have an incentive currently to subsidize that cost. I believe what we will see in the future is similar to what we saw with streaming. Presents itself as a savings model until it dominates enough to have pricing power
