Qatar has called for all Israeli nuclear facilities to be placed under International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards and for Israel to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) as a non-nuclear state. Qatar’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Vienna, Jassim Yacoub Al Hammadi, emphasized the need for international efforts to ensure Israel’s compliance with relevant UN resolutions during an IAEA Board of Governors session.

Additionally, Qatar submitted a written memorandum to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) regarding Israel’s obligations concerning the presence and activities of the United Nations and other international organizations. The memorandum underscores Israel’s duty to allow UN agencies, particularly the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), to operate in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories, and to respect and protect their personnel and properties.

Palestinian woman Hind Al-Husseini is a truly unsung hero. In 1948 she took in 55 children orphaned by the Deir Yassin massacre & converted her grandfather’s mansion into an orphanage. She later founded the Dar Al Tifl School in #SheikhJarrah East Jerusalem. #WomensHistoryMonth
