@UTDTOMMY7 Not big on Casado, but I like Bernal and Fermin even more, but he is more of an advanced player than playing in a pivot. Frenkie is the dream. He is 29, and it would surely mean De Jong - Tielemans is first choice pivot for 2-3 years with Mainoo and Santos as backups to each.

@dannyelsom @MartienBall Thats not how it works. Paying 250k/w for so many players and not getting CL 2 or 3 years in a row will implode because they will want to offload those players and no one will ever take them because of wages nor will they want to leave for lower wages.

@UTDTOMMY7 I'm not at all against such a signing, I just don't want another LW when we have already commited 4 first team spots to LWs already. Would rather get a ST or CB before another LW. I would only get a LW if Rashford leaves, but of a higher calibre, like Mbaye (50+m tho)

If Lucas Beraldo can be had from PSG, United must pursue it.

22 y/o Brazilian 6’1 🇧🇷 , mainly a CB, but very versatile and can play both as a CDM and LB. Very press resistant, great ball progressor, strong overall.

Sure, he plays a fair amount for PSG, 20-25 games last season. But never any big games and the path way for him into big games seems very tough.

@UTDTOMMY7 But I LOVE those transfer, don't get me wrong. It's the nicest feeling. We just need to have a nice balance between the Cunha,Mbeumo (PL proven), Sesko (super promising for 3-4 years scouted) and the Lammens (moneyball, sudden exponential growth stats) type transfers.

@UTDTOMMY7 That's my point, you can't just hope to get it right with such transfers, we were blessed with Lammens. We'd be bottom half if he flopped. But the idea is that 2 maybe 3 in 10 players of 5-30mil actually pop to PL quality. Even when scouted by the most elite data team at Brighton

@UTDTOMMY7 I agree Thompson is super raw, but that's what you get for that amount. Now that I mentioned Yohanna from Brighton, they paid 28m for him after he played 13 matches!! in the Swedish league and 5 in the cup as his entire football experience. If it was us, price would be 35m.

@V2_Romario PSG can afford an OOP liability for his offensive contribution because they are walking Ligue 1 and need to rest Mendes. They just needed a left footed winger basically, good at crossing and set pieces for cheap.

@V2_Romario There's some players who I think are absolute frauds and have somehow bamboozled their way to this level, Digne being one. Another is Francisco Conceicao, who is at most a 5-10mil championship/mid table portuguese league player. And there's a few more that don't spring to mind rn

Spurs will enter their worst decade ever if in the next 2-3 years they don't get EL/UCL. It's a super high risk reward what they are doing, gambling their entire next decade on these big hits paying off SOON.

- Spurs’ debt is £831m, United’s debt is £1bn.
- Both clubs have a similar wage bill, with Spurs expected to pay more than United after adding Tonali and Fernandes.

Spurs have a debt almost as big as United’s, no UCL money, lower revenue, higher wage bill and they’re coming off an awful season, yet they’re still more active and more ambitious in the transfer market.

When you have ambition, you find ways to spend money. When you prioritise saving money, you find a thousand excuses not to spend.

I genuinely feel sorry for people who have been brainwashed by INEOS into believing that United can’t spend money.
