@Independent_ie I wish Leo and his colleagues were as obsessed with vaccination as they are about case numbers. Case numbers irrelevant if the vaccination program was successful and hospital numbers drop off. Its a virus, its not going away. Its management not eradication. Life goes on.

@rtenews People are struggling, people that haven't worked in over a year, people that have done everything that has been asked of them, people that haven't been able to visit parents or attend a funeral of a relative. This government needs to act rather than react.

@thejournal_ie I have had enough! If some meaningful restrictions r not lifted by the 5th April I fear that there will be a huge backlash from the country & rightly so! #COVID19 is destroying people's mental health. The only thing the government r doing is saving the already broken #HSE #broken

@Metalheadmoro I'm happy to wear masks and distance from people outside my own social circle, but people are reaching their breaking point. For example, many others and I are already going outside 5k. Look outside and people are meeting their friends. It's time for life to somewhat continue.

@Metalheadmoro A strict lockdown would still take 8-9 weeks for us to reach zero covid. It brings us up to June. The government has lost compliance so society would hardly buy in. Now it has become a case of mental health, the onus should be on people to protect themselves and their families.

We were told the same thing since March last year. It's always just "a little bit further". Compliance is dropping at a huge rate because life needs to go on, at least to some extent. This pandemic has shown great resilience from the Irish people but we have a breaking point!

@DavQuinn Why are you trying to speak against an issue that literally has no effect on you? That's all you seem to do on this platform, stick your nose into other people's business and intervene when they're just trying to make a more livable world for the majority. Shame.
