A staggering statement from former Washington Post editor Marty Baron: "This ranks among the darkest days in the history of one of the world's greatest news organizations."
Breaking News: Rejecting decades of science, the chair of the federal panel that recommends vaccines for Americans said that shots against polio and measles — and perhaps all diseases — should be optional. https://t.co/oQ2J89nxVM
Agree.
This indicates a culture that 1) is not careful and 2) has employees so secure in their jobs they do not care even when announcing someone has been fired. They embarrassed the owner, FFS.
I cannot get over the “admiral” screw up from the Bills
As someone who writes thousands of words every day, I make my fair share of mistakes. But that statement had to pass through multiple hands on the PR side and then was posted by the social media team
What an utter failure
Amazing typo notwithstanding, I think this Bills statement is chilly toward McDermott.
Admirable? That's what you say when a coach goes 21-29 or whatever. Hey, the guy worked hard. 🤷♂️
McDermott deserved much better than this firing form letter
@thadbrown7 And what role did McDermott’s criticism of the refs play in this? I am not naive enough to believe that the almighty NFL was fine with criticism of the officiating process being a headline for two days.
@thadbrown7 So is Josh now going to blame himself both for losing the game and costing his coach his job? I think he will. He will think that if he played better, his coach would still be here. The problems the Bills have are GM based, not coaching.
