BREAKING: Vice President J.D. Vance lets the cat out of the bag on Donald Trump's illegal bombing of Iran by accidentally implying that it may not have been as successful as his boss claims — which might have been Trump's fault.

MAGA world can't seem to get their story straight...

"We are going to work in the coming weeks to ensure that we do something with that fuel, and that’s one of the things that we’re going to have conversations with the Iranians about," Vance told ABC News, referring to the enriched uranium that Trump hoped to destroy.

While Trump has adamantly insisted that the unprecedented strike — which wasn't approved by Congress — was a total success, the evidence for his claims is spotty at best.

NBC News reports that the “extent of the damage to the deeply buried facility at Fordo” as well as the sites at Isfahan and Natanz has yet to be determined. Roughly 880 pounds of 60% enriched uranium is still “publicly unaccounted for.”

The New York Times claims that the uranium in question, if it is indeed extant, could be enough to make nine or ten atomic bombs.

Trump telegraphed the attack with his bizarre "will he or won't he" act and his constant threats on Truth Social, so the Iranians had ample warning to move the uranium.

If the bombing was as successful as Trump insists, there would be no reason for Vance to call for ongoing talks with Iran to locate the missing uranium. Something very clearly isn't adding up here.

Meanwhile, Trump has announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran but it's unclear how real it is or if it will hold.

This is quintessential Trump. He treats geopolitics like reality television and cares far more about projecting a narrative to his base than he does about actually accomplishing anything. He unilaterally bombed a country, possibly failed to achieve his stated goal, claimed victory, and is now clambering for peace. It's a shambolic, embarrassing display from the American president and a sobering reminder that the United States can no longer be relied upon for stable leadership.
