Airlines are absolutely out of control. They’re already inflating flight prices way over the real cost increase of oil. Now they’re using the illusion of caring about sustainability as a money grab, and pushing responsibility onto the consumer, all while acting charitable for it.

After watching videos of the Alex Pretti shooting multiple times, I've concluded that this shooting is an even more clear-cut case of murder than Renee Good's. (I was a criminal defense attorney for 9 years).

Contrary to the Administration's claims, Pretti never approached the officers with a gun; he's clearly holding a phone. The officers get aggressive and accost two women, whom Pretti attempts to shield from the officers' aggression. The officers pepper spray all three, and then begin tackling Pretti as he continues to try to protect one of the women.

It's hard to see exactly what happens in the dogpile, but it's obvious Pretti's gun--which we've learned he was carrying legally--has been removed when the officers fire at him multiple times. There is no self-defense case here.

The Administration needs to take this seriously instead of tarring the victim as a "domestic terrorist" once again. A refusal to acknowledge that this warrants an investigation is pouring gasoline on a fire.
