.@TOKEN2049 opens tomorrow in Singapore. Its speakers include @SolanaFndn President Lily Liu, @PayPal SVP May Zabaneh, and @krakenfx co-CEO Arjun Sethi.
Solana Summit Singapore runs today, with a consumer apps track that covers payments and commerce.
I'd like to see PayPal or Kraken announce a new @Solana integration before the week is out.
.@Solana handled ~7.4m stablecoin payments in August, ~12% of all stablecoin payments by count, per Visa's onchain dashboard. A year earlier Solana handled ~1.6m, about 5% of all stablecoin payments that month.
The average stablecoin payment on Solana was ~$410 in August, against ~$640 across all chains. I tend to think payment count tracks adoption better than dollar volume, since a few large transactions can push the averages.
My guess is Solana passes 30m stablecoin payments a month by the end of 2027.
Remember that Sriracha shortage during covid? Apparently the company screwed their only pepper grower of 28 years. After they recorded how he grew the peppers with a drone and handed it off to other growers they terminated their deal and sued him for $1.4 million.
He counter sued and got $23 million. And sriracha has never been the same since. The new guys cant grow the peppers to the same size and ripeness like the old farmer.
Since January 1, a remittance sent from the US and funded with cash, a money order or a cashier's check has carried a 1% federal excise tax. Transfers funded from a bank account or with a US-issued debit or credit card are exempt.
That tax gives cash senders another reason to start sending digitally.
Wallet apps on @Solana should be competing to win the cash senders who switch.
Saudi Arabia just uncovered an estimated 110 million tons of raw ore containing uranium.
During the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) General Conference in Vienna, Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman announced a massive geological breakthrough at the Jabal Sayid project.
Exploration efforts have identified an estimated 110 million tonnes of raw ore enriched with promising concentrations of uranium and heavy rare earth elements. While this figure represents the bulk quantity of the raw mineralized material rather than pure, refined elements, the discovery underscores the significant untapped geological potential of the kingdom's western terrain.
This development is a cornerstone for Saudi Arabia's 'Vision 2030' initiative, which aims to diversify the national economy away from oil and establish a domestic, peaceful civilian nuclear power program.
By securing its own potential supply of uranium and critical rare earths—essential for high-tech manufacturing, electric vehicles, and defense—the kingdom is positioning itself to play a vital role in the global energy transition.
If the resource proves commercially viable, it could drastically shift the geopolitics of nuclear fuel and clean energy supply chains worldwide.
source: The Times of India. (2026, September 15). Saudi Arabia reports 110 million tonnes of ore containing uranium and heavy rare earths in Madinah, boosting its nuclear and mining ambitions.
Legal eligibility is the main hurdle for fintechs wanting a Fed account. Under current law, nonbanks generally don't qualify. Fed Gov. Christopher Waller confirmed that expanding access to currently ineligible firms would require Congress to step in.

It is amazing to see teams take advantage of the @GeniusFDN mechanism - will $GSTOCK get a board seat on the @BNBCHAIN DAT?
Congrats to the first token that passed $10M MC on https://t.co/rIU4Nwh1LH!
Solana is already clearing consumer-scale volume. Add confidentiality and work that could never move onchain now can. I think the next round of institutional capital goes into exactly that work.
In the future, companies could run payroll, supplier terms, or treasury operations on a ledger.
