These large granite boulders found at Watson Lake in Arizona are precambrian and have been dated to 1.4 billion years old! The linear quality of the mineral deposits at the base of the rocks is evidence of the recent droughts.

I had a blast working with @KimberleyLemmen on the graphics for her thesis! Learning about rotifer morphology so I could accurately draw the lil' critters in all their life stages was so, so fun 😁
