@PeterAskin1 Thank you all for sending Stormy well wishes. He is under excellent care with the cardiologist. He isn't sure what caused the symptoms we and our vet saw. He is checking blood work and we go back next month when Stormy will be on a lower dose of medication. For now we monitor.
@PeterAskin1 The results from today don't explain what happened last weekend. Maybe because Stormy is currently on high doses of furosemide, the cardiologist isn't sure, so we have a plan of reducing it and monitoring, we go back next month. Basically a mystery still.
Thank you all.
Please join a paw circle for my dear grand nephew cat "Stormy" in #EdmontonAB. Stormy developed congestive heart failure & is under the care of a cat cardiologist and scheduled for an echocardiogram. Stormy is a very sick boy. 🙁
@FlatlanderHank @FisherSpeaks @CalgaryRASC @JayIsPainting @kmoorephotos It was Sandhill Cranes. I must have seen at least 20 waves pass over in a 2 hour period. Yes they did just soar with the air currents. I do have a few videos as well.
Is this real? Anyone have eyes on what appears to be huge flocks of migratory #birds (possibly geese)?CASCV - Precipitation Depiction 12:29 PM #ABStorm @FisherSpeaks @JayIsPainting @kmoorephotos
@CalgaryRASC I took over 200 photos of the Sandhill Crane Migration over SE Edmonton (April 29), it was incredible to watch. I lost track of how many waves of them flew overhead. Thanks for sharing my Alberta birds photo.
Roe vs Wade has been overturned.
This is an outrageous violation of human rights.
It’s happening in front of our eyes to women who are our neighbours.
Don’t tell me it won’t happen here.

REMINDER: Face coverings/masks for those aged 2+ are still required in indoor public spaces in Edmonton—including buses and LRT and station platforms—until City Council decides otherwise. Thank you! #yegcc#COVID19AB
I also hope they have updated policies on what happens when a site is under outbreak (Covid-19, Influenza, Gastrointestinal), how are we planning on preventing the spread from site to site? @CMOH_Alberta
The Single Site Order is ending next week.
For sure this will help with staffing.
However it does not resolve the real staffing issue which is that there are too many part time positions leading to staff needing to work at multiple sites to make ends meet.
@CMOH_Alberta
Effective Feb.16, fully vaccinated workers in continuing care will be able to resume working at multiple facilities. I’ve previously indicated that this change of lifting the single site staffing requirement was coming. (9/12)
Denmark has eliminated Covid restrictions but 94% over 65 years have three doses and overall 60% have had the booster. We are only at 34% with the booster. Secondly, Denmark already has a plan to clamp down if needed. Alberta is not Denmark.
The public enters LTC and there has been masking compliance issues from some families since the beginning. Putting everyone at risk.
Until it is safe there it should be mandatory masking in public everywhere. #protectourseniors@PopAlberta@CMOH_Alberta@dmmengmd
Masking IS a requirement is Continuing Care. Let's be real though. If it's still not safe for our most vulnerable (LTC, acute care etc), then it's still not safe anywhere. #mandatorymasking#protectourseniors@PopAlberta
