Once in a support group for one of the medical conditions I have someone said they’d kill themselves if their symptoms were as severe as mine. Tried to explain why that was hurtful and they doubled down. A freaking support group. Ableism is boundless.

just thinking about when my mom told me that I was "gonna have to learn to live with COVID just like people learned to live with Polio before the vaccine". Like, parents literally kept their kids from going to public places and even school back then lol
