How is it even possible to have fair representation in judiciary when the nominations lists are going to continue to look like this? The reform has to first and foremost come at the point of nomination and within the nominating and deliberating authority itself.
why men suck:
i was driving from DHA lahore to Cantt and i had reached the checkpost lines. the car in front of me was going slow, i was late, so i decided to switch to my left lane. check my mirror, it's fine, i turn left (without indicating) and a car hits me. wtf fml.
Several other of our members have played their part and either volunteered or rendered support during various stages of the study and its launch. We are indebted to them all.

Mian Qayyum, the founder of one the largest trade unions in Punjab (Labour Qaumi Movement) passed away today. He suffered immense hardships to protect the rights of workers, particularly in the power loom industry. Perhaps someday such unsung heroes will be recognized.
Here are photos of a traffic police officer named SAMI ULLAH on Mall Road, Lahore at 12.30 pm today, harassing me and my daughter while we were at a traffic light stop before G.O.R. 1. Are you ready to clean up this filth from your ranks @ctplahore or is this not your priority?
Everyone switch on to Al Jazeera right now. This is one of the most horrifying things I’ve seen.
IOF is attacking mourners carrying Shireen’s body from the hospital right now. They’re using stun grenades and tear gas and charging at them with horses and batons.
Horrified at hearing the news coming from Jamshoro Uni. Women students being harassed by fellow male students and also by teachers/ people in positions of authority. Let Sindhi women get their education in a co-Ed environment in peace.
Can we define privilege?
My single working parent mom, working at a publishing house to send us to one of the best schools in Karachi.
No personal car, but the one given by the office. Sometimes the only new clothes she had were the ones we bought for the Birthday.
Class & ethnic privilege effect every field in Pakistan, but one of its most profound effects is on the arts. From music to literature to tv/film, most of those who make it big are members of the Punjabi elite. Coke studios throws in some Sindhis & Baloch as tokens but that’s it.
We are turning 6 years old on 1st Feb 2022!!! To share our journey, look back at achievements of past year & engage for our collective way forward, we will be hosting a webinar. Open to all #WomenInLaw members. Joining us on the panel are these 6 brilliant lawyers & law students.
Congratulations to first of hopefully many more female judges in Supreme Court. Lack of women in senior roles in legal community shows how patriarchal our justice system is. Looking forward to a balanced bench where at least half are women & there on merit https://t.co/IDPebbiucL
Thrilled to see Justice Ayesha being appointed as the first female judge of the Supreme Court. High time female lawyers can reply to male partners at law firms who don’t hire women nor take them seriously in law because ‘they get married and end up leaving so no point’!
Honourable Justice Ayesha A. Malik makes herstory. Takes oath as judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The first female to be appointed so since 1947. #RepresentationMatters
