An 7v7 coached game
Played on half of the pitch, with white team defending in a 4-2.
The play starts with the GK. A double whistle indicates a change of point for attackers, at which point the coach will call a diff colour ball. The team will then attack from a new position
The SSG 8v8 +4 GKs is a favorite drill among players.
It's a fantastic exercise that effectively targets finishing, counter-pressing, and attacking transitions.
I've used it for finishing, as it provides a unopposed and opposed finishing, along with different angles
Training Session:
P1: (SSG) focusing - building up the attack in team shape
P2. Directional Games - focusing on creating the attack
P3. Conditioned Games - focusing on finishing the attack and defensive unit
These are core exercises to remind the players of the principles
