13.09.2026: Youngjae's Space Live @ChoiArs_YJ

1. Youngjae started the live and immediately forgot where to go to read the comments again.

2. At first, he said he wasn't going to record this live but fans told him to keep it so they could listen to it again later so he ended up recording it.

3. Youngjae said he didn't pass the JLPT. He said he probably wouldn't have felt this disappointed if his score had been nowhere near passing but apparently he would've passed if he had gotten only about 5 more questions right 🥲 He was really disappointed but he already signed up to take the exam again!

4. He tried to look at it positively too. He said things like this happen and it’s not like he had spent that much time in Japan anyway. He's only been studying-reviewing Japanese again for around 6 months so how could he expect to get it immediately? If he had passed already, he would’ve been really smart If not, then it is what it is.

5. Fans asked if he can speak Japanese a little now. Youngjae said when he talks to his teacher, he does feel like he can manage a bit. Before, his grammar was probably so wrong that it barely sounded like proper Japanese but now he can at least feel that he's improved. He thinks he'll pass next time. "What else can I do? It's okay, I can just take the exam again."

6. Youngjae complained that he always yawns whenever he goes live even though he normally stays up late all the time.

7. A fan asked what he wanted for his upcoming birthday. Youngjae said, "Me? I guess… just getting out (of service) quickly?"

8. Youngjae is going to Bruno Mars concert and he's so happy about it. Even though his seat is basically in the nosebleeds, he hopes the speakers will be close to him like last time. His concert ticket date seems to be either Tuesday or Wednesday.

9. He said Bruno Mars concert setlist seems really varied this time and there are a lot of newer songs too so now he needs to memorize all the lyrics before the concert.

10. Youngjae has been seriously addicted to Pokemon GO lately.

11. He's also been collecting the Pokemon drinks. He finally completed the whole collection and he actually drank them too while collecting them all.

12. A fan said they had gone out to buy ice cream and Youngjae was like, "At this hour?!" He told them to be careful walking around at night because the world is still dangerous these days.

13. A fan asked if he didn't want to sleep. Youngjae said, "Of course I don't want to sleep. I never want to sleep." He also said work and assignments are tiring but once time passes, things usually feel a little better.

14. A fan asked how he feels about being in the last stretch of his 20s and Youngjae immediately went, "Everyone, I'm STILL 29!"

15. A fan asked him to do an Instagram Live on his birthday. Youngjae said Instagram Live would show his face too clearly.

16. Someone asked if his rhinitis had come back. Youngjae said he basically always has it, though it's been much better lately. His voice probably sounds a little different because he hasn't been talking much these days.

17. He joked that because he barely talks these days, there are probably spiderwebs growing inside his mouth.

18. Youngjae has to go to work as usual tomorrow.

19. When asked what he wants to do for his birthday: "Sleep, eat and… play games. Maybe."

20. Youngjae in English: "Tomorrow is Monday. Have to go to work. You and me and everybody."

21. He turned "Stop Stop It" into an anti-work song, "Don't go to work~ Don't go to work~ don't, don't, don't, don't go~" Then he wondered if making songs about the pain of going to work was a sign that he's getting older… before immediately going, "BUT I'M YOUNG! I'M STILL IN MY 20s!"

22. Fans asked if he'll spend his birthday with friends. Youngjae said he'll probably just stay as he is because his friends are busy too. Someone asked if he gets his birthday off work and he said, "Of course I work. It's a weekday."

23. Asked what he wants to do on his birthday, Youngjae said birthdays are basically the same every year for him. What he wants never changes: "Sleep and eat." Do that and suddenly the whole day is over

25. A fan said they were eating Chamkkae Ramyeon (sesame oil ramyeon) as a late night meal. Youngjae said it sounded delicious and that sesame oil ramyeon is really good.

26. A fan asked him to encourage students preparing for the Suneung.

Youngjae said he hopes everyone does well but even if the result isn't what they wanted, he doesn't want them to become too obsessed with it or put too much pressure on themselves. Of course, after preparing so much, it's natural to have expectations and he hopes everyone gets the result they want. But one exam will never determine your entire life. Whether it takes another 1, 2 or even 3 years, that time doesn't define everything. Nobody knows how their life will turn out in the end and something even better could be waiting somewhere else. He just hopes everyone can do as well as the amount of effort they’ve put into preparing.

27. Youngjae said he's still practicing piano diligently these days.

28. Someone asked what time he wakes up. He said he usually wakes up sometime after 7AM, gets ready and takes the bus to work.

29. A fan told him, "For your birthday this year, I hope you'll be so happy that I won't ever have to make this wish for you again."

Youngjae thanked and said he's always happy. There are so many people who make him happy and people also tell him that he makes them happy. He said just having so many people celebrate and congratulate him is already something he's very grateful for. As he gets older, birthdays don't feel like such a huge event anymore. He used to really look forward to them when he was younger but these days he doesn't really think much about his birthday anymore.

30. Fans asked him to come live again on his birthday and Youngjae said okay! 🥳

31. A fan asked, "You promised you'd sing at my wedding if I got married. Is that promise still valid?"
Youngjae: "When are you getting married?"

32. Someone asked if his bus is crowded. Youngjae said yes, he can't even get a seat and gets his feet stepped on all the time. He also said there are regular passengers he sees almost every day: two high school girls, one grandma and one boy. The boy even starts walking from the crosswalk around the same time as him and they end up taking the same bus.

33. Fans asked if those people recognize him. Youngjae said no, they have no idea who he is. He said everyone just minds their own business. They probably notice that they keep seeing the same people every day but nobody really pays that much attention to each other.

34. Youngjae said there are so many songs he wants to cover… but he can't 😭

35. Asked if he still runs, Youngjae said he's slowly trying to start outdoor running again now that the weather is getting better. He's gone once so far. After doing it once, he thought, "I really need to keep doing this now," because otherwise he knows he won't.

36. Back to the bus topic: fans said everyone just stares at their phones anyway. Youngjae agreed. He thought he used his phone a lot but apparently everyone else uses theirs even more. When he puts his earphones in and looks around, literally nobody is looking ahead. Everyone has their head buried in their phone.

37. Someone asked if he's eaten figs lately. At first he said he doesn't really eat figs even though there are some at home. Then he corrected himself "Actually, saying I don't really eat them isn't right. I'm seriously not lying, I’ve never eaten even one bite of an actual fig."

38. Talking about people staring at their phones while crossing the street, fans said sometimes the pedestrian light turns green and people don't even notice. Youngjae agreed and said "They’re just spacing out." Sometimes he even wonders if he should tap them like, "Excuse me…?"

39. Asked what he's been doing lately, Youngjae said things like playing piano and studying Japanese. He also mentioned that his piano teacher seems to teach a lot of students preparing for music school entrance exams.

40. Youngjae played piano for fans but admitted he only played up to the part he can play well. He said you have to stop exactly there before everyone realizes you can't play the next part. He hasn't properly learned the hook yet so he said he'll practice more and play it for everyone again later. And also said, "People practice because they want to show off."

41. A fan asked if he secretly gives himself extra apple marks/stickers when practicing piano.

Youngjae said he doesn't do that now but he did as a kid. One time, after he had finished marking all the apples, his teacher told him to "do it backwards too." Little Youngjae thought the teacher meant he had to play the sheet music backwards, starting from the last page and going all the way back to the beginning. He got completely stressed trying to figure out how he was supposed to do it and actually started playing from the back. But the teacher had only meant that he should start marking the apples again in the opposite direction. Youngjae said, "I was really, really stupid, wasn't I?"

42. One of Youngjae's piano assignments is ear training, listening to a song and figuring out the notes by himself. He was actually the one who asked his teacher to give him this kind of homework because he wants to get better at hearing a song and immediately being able to pick out the notes.

43. Youngjae talked about lunch at work. There's a cafeteria but sometimes he doesn't really feel like eating the food there so he goes outside instead. There's an area with lots of restaurants nearby but at this point he's tried almost everything. So now he just walks toward the restaurant area without deciding what he wants, wanders around for a while and eventually ends up going back to the same places he always eats at.

44. Fans suggested making a lunchbox to take to work. Youngjae said, "Do you really think I can do that? Just waking up and successfully getting myself to work is already hard enough."

45. Youngjae carries Churu cat treats with him. Around 4PM, he sometimes tries calling for a cat in the area. If the cat is nearby, it slowly comes out from wherever it's hiding. At first, the cat was really shy and wouldn't come close to him. Youngjae would squeeze out some Churu and then step away so the cat felt safe enough to approach. Little by little, the cat has started coming closer and the distance between them keeps getting smaller. Youngjae said that makes him really happy.

46. Youngjae suddenly realized Chuseok is coming soon which means it’s almost time to give his nieces-nephew pocket money again. Then he started joking, "They already got money for Seollal! Do they really need to get money for Chuseok too?" His logic was that Seollal money makes sense because you give it while wishing someone good luck for the New Year. But for Chuseok? "Can't we just eat delicious food, spend a nice time together as a family and that’s it?" He knows people give money during Chuseok too, he just wants to know if it's really necessary.

47. Before ending the live, Youngjae apologized to fans. He said he had told himself that he would come visit more often but then he went quiet again for a little while and he felt really sorry. He said he'll try his best to come as often as he can. Then he told everyone to sleep well, wished a good night and said, "Fighting tomorrow!" before saying goodbye 🥹💚
