Wendell Berry wrote that in 2000. In 2024, it's clear he nailed it.

The next great ideological battle, emerging now, is between those who seek above all else to accelerate the rise of The Machine and those who want to preserve recognisably human modes of living and being.

That dichotomy will only grow sharper, and more apparent, across the coming 12 months. And in so much that I write this year I'll be trying to make sense of it.
