Dearest mother —
The battleground has called for my glorious return. I’m thrilled to say, I shall heed that call.
I have reenlisted.
While my sidearm is permanently holstered — I shall help train other young men to be great soldiers. Please send care packages of squirrel oil and skunk cakes to our basecamp at Stanford. I love you.

I just canceled my Season Tickets with the @Mariners
I simply can't line the pockets of these owners anymore
They have absolutely destroyed this team
I'll always support the players, but this ownership needs to go
The fans deserve better
No more excuses
Sell to someone who cares
This clip and Teoscar Hernández's quote led me to do some digging.
Per FanGraphs...
The Mariners are hitting .210/.295/.349 (89 wRC+, .278 BABIP, 29.5 K%) at T-Mobile Park this year. Opponents are hitting .202/.251/.320 (60 wRC+, .253 BABIP, 26.2 K%). League-average slash line at every ballpark EXCEPT for T-Mobile Park this year is .244/.313/.399 (101 wRC+, .290 BABIP, 22.1 K%).
The Mariners have hit .237/.312/.396 (98 wRC+, .287 BABIP, 24.1 K%) at T-Mobile Park since the start of the 2015 season. Opponents have hit .234/.296/.395 (87 wRC+, .276 BABIP, 23 K%) during that same timespan. League-average slash line at every ballpark EXCEPT T-Mobile Park during that stretch is .250/.319/.413 (98 wRC+, .296 BABIP, 22.1 K%).
And since the first game was played at T-Mobile Park on July 15, 1999, the Mariners have hit .246/.315/.386 (93 wRC+, .290 BABIP, 20.6 K%). Opponents have slashed .243/.306/.390 (87 wRC+, .280 BABIP, 20.2 K%). League-average slash line at every ballpark EXCEPT T-Mobile Park is .252/.319/.405 (93 wRC+, .295 BABIP, 20.1 K%).
This dispels a couple popular theories. It's not something that has hurt just the Mariners. And the lack of opponent success is not just a byproduct of Seattle's dominant pitching of late (though recent numbers are certainly amplified by that).
This isn't breaking news, but the ballpark is an issue for a multitude of reasons, some of which the organization has addressed over the years. But all signs point to the batter's eye being one of the bigger factors and perhaps the biggest within the organization's control. And also, the 2024 offense sucks.
Japanese baseball player Chusei Mannami went viral a couple weeks ago for this ABSURD throw.
I ended up going down a rabbit hole and folks... this guy might have the most electric arm in baseball history.

Wooo baby. The bad reffing is all over this game too. Oregon State is getting nothing called in their favor 🙄. The refs really are just letting the best teams have everything they way. #NCAAWBB
