All five have now reached Tamil Nadu.

The authorities should independently verify the complete history of each elephant, not simply the transport permits.
Assam’s elephants belong to an ecosystem of forests, rivers, landscapes and social relationships.

Why were these young elephants moved nearly 3,000 km away?
