Counselor at Memorial Elementary in HISD.

Took 4th-5th graders and parents to HISD School choice fair. It was so impressive how many options and great schools HISD has to offer! I highly encourage all 4th graders to begin looking now so you have time to make an informed decision. @MemorialElm

As an educational leader, you must act. And, when you act, there are times when you are going to fail. If you're afraid of failing, you won't get very far, nothing changes, and children suffer. Fear tomorrow if you don’t act today. Children have one time in school. Be the light.

I loved watching everyone come together! ❤️

I see a lot of people online selling fame and fortune but I have to tell you that no amount of fame and fortune will ever feel better than hearing someone tell you that you impacted their life. Don’t focus on the fruit. Invest in the root.

[Marisa Elam @marisa_elam]

@amsabido @orfelinda_todd @AldineISD @EcVardeman Agreed! She’s the best!

I love Billy Graham’s quote. “A coach will impact more young people in a year than the average person does in a lifetime.” This goes for teachers too.
