1. On the technical front (Infold vs. Bot farms)
Right now, Infold's legal department is most likely completing the formation of an evidence base. Since the police have officially joined the investigation of the cyberattack, the developers are transmitting system logs to law enforcement officers. This includes IP addresses, patterns of sending mass complaints, and data on the purchase of commercial bots (the so-called "water army"). The fact that the haters started deleting their posts and closing accounts en masse is technically beneficial to the company: the police still see the history of deleted logs, and the panic of the harassment organizers indirectly proves their guilt.

News outlets have an obligation to fully verify claims before making public statements.

False accusations of SA or r*pe are EXTREMELY HARMFUL, be it to an actual person, or in this case, our beloved #Valko and the company behind him.

If you actually look at his trailer, it is so very clear that he is just a goofy clingy guy, I plead anyone that THINKS he is forcing himself on MC to actually WATCH the trailer themselves.

It is clear in the video that they're playfighting.

You know what wolf cubs do? Or even just regular puppies? Yeah. They playfight. A LOT. MC is clearly LAUGHING in the video while its happening. And not a strained laugh, but an actual warm laugh.

The community has done SO MUCH GOOD in his name. You really think they would do something like that for an abuser? I think not.

This is more complex than people are realizing. Infold CANNOT defend themselves at this point.

The Chinese state media made an article about them. This is not like CNN or CBS making a statement. This is essentially the mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party. If you're looking at this through the eyes of someone in an uncensored country, you're looking at this wrong.

Contradicting state media is essentially defying the government. Doing so could be a death sentence to their company.

​If Infold released a statement arguing that the state media misunderstood the trope and that the Valko isn't actually dangerous, it could be interpreted as a refusal to accept regulatory guidance and an unacceptable implication that the state is wrong.

The only thing they could do in that moment was try to stop the initial backlash and find a solution. We need to give them the time to comply with the government orders and find a way to prove themselves innocent without committing social suicide.

I understand everyones feeling, as I've been furious too. I didn't initially realize how bad the situation was and solely blamed them for ignoring us as well.

We all know Infold. They create wonderful characters, but they're money hungry. They would not give up a character and keep him gone knowing how much money he'd make. They were extremely adamant that he was staying until the day things got out of control in the media. That post by state news was essentially a government warning for them.

Infold hasn't even updated their pinned posts, it's on the movie banner still (two banners behind). I'm sure they'd much prefer to advertise Wander in Wonder and try recoup their money.

So many of us did not realize how deep this goes. But we need to acknowledge it now.

We deserve to be mad about many things, as Infold has things they should have fixed years ago.

But this current situation is out of their control, it's a smear campaign that went way too far because of a couple toxic antis who weaponized false information.
