BREAKING: Pennsylvania's Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro scores a massive victory by signing into law a historic new program that provides free breakfast to ALL public school students in the state.

This is absolutely amazing...

A truly staggering 1.7 million students will be eligible for the universal free breakfast program. It will be especially beneficial to lower income students who either can't afford breakfast or who have working parents who are too busy to prepare it.

The life-changing program comes as part of Shapiro's 2023-24 budget bill which included a $46.5 million increase in funding for the healthy breakfasts. Each meal must include a grain, fruit, and milk product. Student allergies will be accommodated.

"How can we expect kids to learn math and science in English when they come to school on an empty stomach?" said Shapiro. "We can’t."

This breakfast program perfectly encapsulates what is possible when our elected officials actually care about the people — and proves that voting for Democrats can really make a change in the lives of average Americans.

If this were a Republican governor, he'd be signing tax cuts for the rich and gutting programs instead.
