SC list had 607 castes, today it has ~1200
ST list had 241 tribes, today it has 744

So where these castes are coming from?

If even after 70+ yrs, not a single caste has been uplifted via reservation, that itself shows "Reservation is a failed policy".

Question - Now that the protest is over, why don't you raise questions against reservation as many students are asking for it?

Abhijeet - That's not my headache. Now the government should deal with all it's issues

Reporter - If that's not your headache, then how was this NEET protest your headache? Students are the one suffering in both cases

Abhijeet - I don't think population based reservation is anything wrong. It should be there. If SCs are 15% of the population, they should get 15% reservation

Reporter - Then why not apply the same logic to paying taxes? If SCs are 15% of the population, should they also pay 15% of the total tax? Why should the general category pay all the tax? Shouldn't everyone contribute according to the same population logic? Would that be fair?

The Bombay High Court has questioned the Maharashtra Government for quietly withdrawing the 2018 amendment that would have made 498A compoundable and reduced massive harassment of husbands and their families.

The Court also pulled up the Union Government for allowing the withdrawal despite the amendment being passed by the Legislature.

This case highlights how genuine reforms that could prevent misuse of 498A continue to be blocked instead of implemented.

A 30-year-old man in Uttar Pradesh d!ed by sui*ide after he alleged that his wife was cheating on him.

Rahul Mishra, a resident of Bankat village, was found h@nging from a fan in his room.

Based on a complaint filed by the victim's mother, a case was registered against his wife, her alleged lover Shubham Singh, and his mother-in-law for abetting su*cide.

During the investigation, the police found a 7-minute-and-29-second-long video from the Rahul's phone, which he recorded just a few hours before dying by sui*ide. 

Rahul said, "My wife is having an affair with Shubham Singh, alias Danger. I forbade her many times (from cheating), but she didn't listen. I was not allowed to meet my child. My mother-in-law instigated her (my wife) and even got my number blocked. My father-in-law is mentally unwell. I love my wife and child very much, but I can't bear this separation anymore."

Rahul emphasised that he was under a heavy debt burden and was also facing pressure at his workplace. He alleged that his wife filed several false complaints against him.

Rahul and his wife had a love marriage five years ago and that the woman was from a different caste.

The police are investigating the video, and the accused will soon be put up for interrogation as per reports.

This case has once again sparked a debate on false domestic violence cases against men by their wives and the legal provisions related to it.
