@Jenn63074620@FridayInHalifax No one knows everyone’s story. This is a big chunk of my career. There’s ptsd, there’s developmental delays, severe mental health issues. The list is endless. No one needs to feel guilty if they can’t. And in some cases owners severe reactions worsen the anxiety for the pet.
@FridayInHalifax I sorta hate those types of posts. If you can’t stay it’s ok. Staff are going to make sure every single pet is loved and adored and experiences the least amount of pain stress and trauma possible. Some people cannot. Cannot stay. And that is ok. Pet was still loved.
@HermioneClone@LuElla_DAmico A good chunk of women absolutely lose the plot during peri. Lose the ability to cope with things they’ve always coped with. Add in the brain fog, headaches, insomnia, body pain, mood shifts et etc etc. it is absolutely hellacious. It gets better. Slowly.
@weese_scott@Trupanion Thoughts? Lots of new papers out on previous covid infections lowering lymphocyte counts (CD8) and disregulating immune responses in humans. Wonder if all the URT and pneumonia we’re seeing in dogs is due to previous SARS exposure? So same ol bugs but new immune response. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
@weese_scott@Trupanion We’ve had a ton of pneumonias in the last month(s). They’ve all responded well to traditional treatment though and I dont think anyone has died.
@KatrinadoesHair @DrHawken Done. 😊Tried it all. Food restrictions. Antihistamines. The works. I think it is tied into some sort of dysautonomia/autoimmune condition. Everything that’s supposed to regulate itself … doesn’t.
