We’ve been focused on our families and our own health during this time and apologize for the lack of updates with the past number of systems.
Please stay home as much as possible and stay safe during these unprecedented times. Help all Canadians #FlattenTheCurve.
@RadarScope While tracking the storms over Southern Ontario tonight, if I was viewing a US Radar, the radar images were lagging pretty heavily but if I switched to a Canadian radar, no lag observed.

@CBCPEI Hail is not unusual in the summer. Strong updrafts of wind usually found in t-storms lift rain back into the freezing level of the atmosphere & cause it to refreeze. It then falls again & partially melts; the cycle continues until the hail is too heavy & falls to the ground.
The English-language Western Québec School Board kept elementary students home on Wednesday due to COVID-19 restrictions on the use of fans, even during the heat wave.
March "climate"summary:
Temps near or slightly above normal NS & PEI with higher snowfalls. No surprise, Sydney, again had a snowy month, and has topped 460cm for the season.
NB remarkably mild March with much less snow & rain than normal.
April forecast: a bit cool & damp. Good.
Spring-like temperatures are expected over the next 3 days across all three Maritime provinces. Temperatures could possibly enter the double digits on Monday/Tuesday in #NB and #NS.
Next system comes on Thursday. Snow across N #NB, messy mix elsewhere.
1-5cm of light snow is possible overnight tonight across #NS.
Next system moves in Tuesday night into Wednesday. Current indications suggest snow to rain for #NS, snow for #NB and #PEI. 5-15cm possible across all 3 provinces. Full update coming tmrw. #nsstorm#nbstorm#pestorm
Wind chills are going to be very cold tonight and early Saturday morning! They will dip into the -30s in #NB and between -15 and -30 for #NS and #PEI! The risk of frostbite will be high for those who experience prolonged exposure to the cold. #nswx#nbwx#pewx
Story of the day in many places, especially near the coast.
Snow has been light enough & temps mild enough, that it's been melting on contact.
Some accumulation (up to 6 cm in Hammonds Plains at 3pm) & some snow covered roads inland, but an underwhelming system for sure
