Alden Richards really bagged 3/4 of ABS-CBN's teen queens from the 2010s era. Kathryn, Julia and now Nadine??? And the way he managed to have chemistry with all three of them says a lot about him as an actor.
SENATE BACK TO WORK FOR THE FILIPINO PEOPLE
We express our deep appreciation and commend the courageous decision of Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero to take the floor today and confront the issues facing the institution. His action sent a clear message: that his commitment to the country, to the Senate, and to the Constitution would prevail above all else.
His presence enabled the Senate to proceed with the discussion of matters that are too important to be left unresolved and too consequential to be set aside.
On the issue of quorum, this is not an uncharted matter. The Supreme Court, in Avelino v. Cuenco, recognized the principle that a quorum of 12 is determined based on the number of members who are legally able to discharge the functions of the Senate.
There is likewise an institutional precedent. In 2015, the Senate recognized a quorum of 12 senators who were within its jurisdiction. The Senate continued to perform its constitutional duties because the work of government could not be placed on hold.
At a time when the nation faces pressing challenges, the Filipino people expect their Senate to work, deliberate, and fulfill its constitutional mandate. The institution cannot remain stalled by disagreements or uncertainty. Our duty is clear: to legislate, provide oversight, and serve the public interest.
The Filipino people deserve a Senate that shows up, does its job, and places public service above politics.
It is time for the Senate to move forward and get back to work for the Filipino people.
“We, Senators, are mere stewards of the Senate. The Senate belongs to the Filipino people, so no one gets to act like they own the place” - Sen Risa
GANDA.
'Di ba sabi nila, there is power in declaration? In manifestation. If you believe in that, let us rewrite our sentences.
Matutuloy ang impeachment ni Sara Duterte.
Mahuhuli si Bato Dela Rosa.
Hindi makakalaya sa Hague si Rodrigo Duterte.
Mahuhuli ang mga kasabwat nila.
All this just to protect CRIMINALS.
They are literally willing to burn down the Senate and bring the whole country with them just to protect a murderer and a corrupt family who has been a scourge on the nation for the last ten years.
May they all get what they deserve.
Events in the Senate tonight showed the weight and responsibility of being a “journalist.”
It is something that is earned — consistently, tirelessly.
You do not become a journalist simply by calling yourself one.
Pagpupugay sa mga mamamahayag at malayang pamamahayag 💖
One thing is clear tonight: the Duterte-allied Senate bloc is willing to plunge the institution into chaos and to weaponise fear, all to shield one of their own from accountability.
🚨 BREAKING NEWS:
Magnificent Five Senators Kiko Pangilinan, Tito Sotto, Ping Lacson, Risa Hontiveros, and Bam Aquino introduced and filed a resolution URGING BATO DELA ROSA to voluntarily surrender.
The Resolution cites the previous examples of voluntary surrender and judicial submission by Juan Ponce Enrile, Leila De Lima, and Sonny Trillanes. (This belies Cayetano’s false claims).
It also cites that the parliamentary immunity and privilege from arrest is LIMITED to offenses punishable by not more than six (6) years of imprisonment.
Sulit ang boto ko sa mga Senador na eto!
SUMUKO KA NA BATO DELA ROSA. 👊
#ArrestBatoNOW
#VoluntarySurrender
Gunshots inside the Senate and innocent civilians, media personnel, and staff could have been caught in the middle of it all.
Kung peacefully na lang sana sumuko si Bato, this situation could have been avoided. Grabeng kaguluhan ang dinala mo, Bato.
Hindi porket anti Duterte eh pinipilit na kayong maging Leni, at lalong hindi kami loyalist! Let us all be a Pro Philippines, stop with being fanatic sa politics!!
Former Senate President Sotto just schooled the new Senate President Cayetano, along with his Senate Majority Leader who led the coup at the Upper Chamber.
Sotto laid bare the abuse of discretion and procedures committed by the new leadership in citing contempt charges against the NBI agents tasked to serve the arrest warrant for Senator Bato dela Rosa on charges of crimes against humanity.
Sotto cautioned the new Senate majority of such breaches on the use of contempt discretions outside of current protocols having been issued after the NBI agents were seen chasing down the fleeing Senator Bato inside the Senate premises.
may all journalists risking their lives to witness this utter clownery be protected from all harm. may the truth prevail.
we do not deserve this government at all.
'SINO BA ANG PINOPROTEKTAHAN NG SENADO NGAYON? HINDI BA ANG PANSARILI NILANG INTERES?'

All this chaos.
Just to protect the Dutertes and their allies.
The country has sacrificed too much—our institutions, our democracy, and far too many lives—for the survival of people who believe they are above accountability.
