I get everyone wants a massive name player but the entire reason we have a recruitment team + data is to find alternatives with a similar or even higher ceiling when we miss main targets.
Instead of panicking, overpaying, and signing the wrong profiles.
We missed Anderson, the club tracked Mateus Fernandes but couldn't seal it, so Santos was found as the alt.
He fits the exact 6/8 profile we need.
Might need time to adapt but he looks crazy promising, just like Lammens back at Antwerp.
He just needs regular minutes and everyone will see how good he can be.
🚨 | The trail has gone COLD on Adam Wharton. He has had plenty of admirers, but at Old Trafford, there is a view that he is too similar to Kobbie Mainoo to play next to him in a two-man midfield. [@TyMarshall_MEN]
It’s crazy how many people don’t get this - Free lunches/cuts etc are paid directly from the clubs revenue, which impacts PSR. The Stadium will be funded outside of the clubs income statement, via investors/INEOS/loans which = out of scope for FFP/PSR. It’s really not difficult..
In light of the SJR interview I’m seeing the same tired shite peddled by the same clueless morons so here are some facts for you to ignore
SJR CANNOT just randomly give the club money. There are rules around this
SJR offered to buy the full club in its totality multiple times but were told no by the Glazers
Without SJRs $300m cash injection the club would have zero money at Christmas
“The Sheikh” was asked MULTIPLE times to prove he had the funds to make the purchase and he was unable to
Happy Monday everyone
That interview by Ratcliffe seems much more sense.
Financially this club is really low and he’s trying to cut costs to sort it out. He admits to the mistakes he’s made like keeping ETH as well.
Most of what he’s saying makes sense.
🚨🎥 - Sir Jim Ratcliffe:
"Manchester United would have RUN OUT OF CASH by the end of this year - by the end of 2025 - after having me put $300m in and if we buy no new players in the summer.”
🚨🚨🎙️| Rúben Amorim: "We have some good players for the transition like Garnacho.
"I think with Garnacho, and we’re always talking about Garnacho, he defended really well and attacked really well.
"I think it was the best game of Garnacho since I’ve been here. He’s improving and we understood the plan quite well."
#MUFC are ravaged by injuries and 14th in the table and just drew with the team in 2nd who scored 7 goals in the week, and could have won. They showed a lot of fight.
Keane’s “It was better in our day” routine is getting boring.
A tough night for the Roy Keane's, Gary Neville's, Mark Goldbridge's, who have made up things that never happened regarding Bruno Fernandes or had outright ridiculous criticisms of him. He has saved Manchester United time & again.
They'll never apologise, but they should.
The most worrying thing by far for me under Amorim and Man Utd so far on the pitch, is the build-up
At this point, the whole pass it to the wide CB, have no answer to the press, go back and long hoof has happened so much it must be on purpose
It doesn't work
If thats any other team, thats never a penalty.
The moment Liverpool struggle, they get decision after decision given their way and its not even funny anymore
Did not like Alejandro Garnacho's negative reaction as he was being substituted. He's not learning to trying to change his behaviour. It's just a repeat pattern.
Not to mention, the sub was justified. His performance was wasteful & he'd had 5 shots from good positions.
Alejandro Garnacho needs to change his shooting technique & work with a coach on it over the summer. His decision making & execution are both very poor. The level of underperformance vs the chances he finds himself taking is stark.
