Mick Lynch is just one of those men that has a way of speaking with integrity and with heart - when Laila Cunningham talks about immigrants taking advantage he replies
"We, the British people believe in helping one another through a fair tax system...you believe in making your friends richer"
Nigel Farage has gone all quiet about his friendship with Trump.
Let’s not let him distance himself from the trainwreck. Please share this fawning video.
You spend millions every year so well paid MP's and Lord's can get subsidised alcohol at work.
There are 27 alcohol serving taxpayer subsidised bars and restaurants in the UK.
ALL of them in Westminster.
It's time to make it 0.
Like/RT if you agree.
Hi @ElectoralCommUK
Can you please look into this ASAP.
It appears to be both highly illegal and highly immoral.
Please RT if you agree this is deeply concerning.
Hey @RupertLowe10,
When you're done suing me, you might want to sue the Guardian for publishing this video.
Because anyone who watches this would conclude that you Rupert Lowe, are just antisemitic filth.
That's really damaging for your reputation with decent people.
Paul Simmons is Reform UK’s candidate in Thames Ditton & East Molesey, East Surrey.
If you’re going to post mocking videos of AI Keir Starmer and Sadiq Khan in an extra-marital love affair - calling them gay, Paul, perhaps don’t also be on Adult Hub looking for casual hook ups with Cross Dressing and Trans swingers.
It’s hypocrisy.
What’s worse is you are standing for Reform UK and describe yourself as Gender Neutral, your own party wants to “ban trans ideology” and opposes gender-fluid recognition.
BBC News criticise Zack Polanski for expecting better standards from the police when apprehending the man who stabbed two British Jews and one British Muslim
But BBC News did NOT show that the officers kicked him in the head five times, when he was immobilised and down on the ground after being tasered
And of course BBC News did not mention that 2 hours before he stabbed two Jewish men, he stabbed a Muslim man
Neither did Keir Starmer, not once across the two days of constant press conferences, and not even during his statement from Downing street
Why is Labour Keir's Starmer and so much of the media whitewashing the stabbing of a British Muslim?
When you see the relentless attacks from other parties on the Greens across the media remember this:
They hate our plan to end Rip Off Britain.
They don't want a wealth tax.
They don't want public ownership & lower bills.
They're trying everything in their power to stop us.
Should MPs be allowed to drink on the job?
Hannah Spencer thinks not. Many, predominately male, MPs [and Andrew Neil] fiercely disagree.
Spoiler alert: no, of course, MPs should not be allowed to drink at work.
Yes, there's history and yes, there's precedent, sitting alongside nine subsidised bars on the Parliamentary estate, but really, no one should be drinking at work.
Let alone those who we've elected to be our representatives in the House of Commons and to bring new laws into place on our behalf.
Back in the olden days, when I ran bars in London, we'd often be offered drinks from generous customers. It was far more preferable for a punter to say “get one for yourself” than to offer a cash tip. And that was cool.
I wouldn't let my team drink behind the bar though. They could bank their drinks, and we'd have some after the doors closed, but not on shift — even on a quiet night.
Booze dulls your senses, it hampers your judgement and can lead to mistakes. When you're behind a very busy bar with rows of people trying to grab your attention, it's easy to get your orders wrong and key in the wrong things on the till, leading to cash or stock shortages.
But more importantly, when you're working in that environment, you have to be constantly on alert for danger. Spiking. Attacks. Thefts. Fights.
When you've had a drink or two, it lowers your alertness and things get missed.
I get that Parliament isn't exactly the same hustle as Belushis Camden on a Saturday night, but the same principles apply.
Things are missed. Standards are lowered.
Before my move to the nightlife world of London, I was in IT, specifically, the IT Manager for an executive search company in London Bridge. We used to go to the pub at lunchtime on a Friday [sometimes a Monday].
We did that because we knew on a Friday afternoon, it didn't matter that our productivity dropped off a cliff; it was a coast to the weekend and, for most, a return to the pub.
It was a good time. Fun and frivolity on a Friday.
But very little got done because we couldn't be bothered after a couple of pints. Work became the secondary consideration.
And this is where we find our MPs.
They may claim that a couple of glasses of wine or two pints at lunch, doesn't affect them, but it does. Of course it does.
Shouldn't we expect those officials that we elected to represent us, to be able to navigate a 'long day' without getting on the booze?
I'd say it should be mandatory.
MPs don't attend Parliament every day, some do weeks at a time without showing up to their jobs <cough> Farage </cough>.
Even if a dedicated MP turned up for their four-day working week, for which they receive almost £100,000, I fully believe that they should be able to navigate that time without drinking on the job.
Oh, and the Green Party drugs policy is a total red herring. A weak distraction from a serious issue.
Welcome to a new week of nonsense in politics.
Happy Monday. 😊
For various boring reasons we have to say that these are Hugh Grant’s views not ours, and that we definitely haven’t printed his post out and put it in a little frame on our desk
Tomorrow is National Barack Obama Appreciation Day. Trump hates no one more than President Obama, so let's fill social media with our love for him!

Once you stop asking why a person on benefits has a smart phone or a widescreen tv.
And start asking why anyone has a superyacht, a private jet, or a personal island.
Then you will have woken up.
