came to shift perspectives and challenge norms. My passion for hip hop’s culture and debating politics drives me to question and confront mainstream narratives
@Daniel731827881@WytChocTweets@Akademiks Typical bot's reaction. How are the Legos in Nigeria? Please update your location. It says Los Angeles. Thank goodness for Elon exposing people’s locations.
Physical CDs were highly appreciated by people. I remember LimeWire was popular, and many used to bootleg these albums. That was the period when the music industry began investing heavily in streaming services. The same will happen with AI; they will certainly use Drake’s likeness for AI applications. Just watch. Hip Hop will die as a genre.
Lol. Streaming and physical sales aren’t the same thing. In the physical era, people had to intentionally spend money on an artist’s album. Today, algorithms, playlists, autoplay, and businesses generate millions of streams.
If 15,000 gyms are playing Drake every day, those streams count—but they don’t necessarily represent active fan purchases. Streaming measures reach; physical sales measured consumer commitment.
It hurting their feelings when I pointed out jay z can’t talk catalog or contract talk to Drake since he ain’t ever been in position of this much leverage as Drake! Drake first 3 albums are valued more than Jay Z entire discography. The numbers say that not me!
@PRINCE_ANGELUS_ Honestly, it's about money. Joe knows Jay won't come to his pod, and he makes so much money that he's become lazy and not really willing to put in effort.
Tuesday, not Friday. Been saying this for years! Off-cycle releases are ideal for new and developing acts. Weekday conversation generates greater word of mouth with less competition and noise. pgLang gets it.
Insult me all you want. I read your critique of the West Coast artists. As a journalist, you have not taken responsibility for issues affecting the West Coast. If you genuinely care, as you claim, I challenge you to use your platform to promote something positive. But I doubt you will, because you thrive on shock value. You are a joke and not adding anything of value to hip hop. Whatever. People like you are killing the art form.
