Republicans, it’s time to face reality and unite.
The midterm elections are the ultimate test of governing power. Republicans cannot afford to lose.
1. If Republicans lose the House in the midterms, every bill proposed by Republicans will be blocked by Democrats, and President Trump will face impeachment. Unfortunately, this is highly likely: over the past 100 years, the party in power has lost the midterms more than 90% of the time.
2. If Republicans lose both the House and the Senate, then none of their legislation will pass, while Democratic bills will move forward unchecked. For the next two-plus years, Republicans will accomplish nothing on domestic policy. Even worse, this would greatly increase the likelihood of losing the 2028 election. At that point, Senate Democrats would likely abolish the filibuster, turning Republicans into a permanent minority party—one with virtually no ability to restrain power.
3. If Republicans lose both chambers and then lose again in 2028, an even more alarming scenario could unfold: Democrats would push to expand the Supreme Court to 21 justices, filling it with liberal judges. At that point, the White House, both chambers of Congress, and the Supreme Court would all fall under Democratic control. America would be completely overtaken.
To prevent this from happening, Republicans must do the following four things:
First, abolish the filibuster and swiftly pass an Election Integrity Act to ensure elections are fair, transparent, and trustworthy.
Second, push for more redistricting efforts to secure and expand Republican advantages in the House.
Third, Republican leadership must recognize the importance of grassroots mobilization. They can no longer remain detached and elitist—they must go into communities, knock on doors, and raise voter turnout among Republican supporters in the midterms.
Fourth, prosecute crimes related to the Russia collusion hoax and fraud in the 2020 election. Only by doing so can Republicans break Democratic control of the narrative and allow more Americans to see the true nature of the Democratic Party.
Only by doing all of this is there a chance to win both chambers in the midterms—or at least secure the Senate. Otherwise, the future for Republicans will be extremely grim.
America will not host foreigners who celebrate the death of our fellow citizens.
