This is an opportunity to course-correct – to right wrongs.

All Victorian Liberals should now get behind the magnificent @MoiraDeemingMP.

Moira should have been pre-selected in the first instance.

But with the successful candidate now having withdrawn after recent revelations – and questions to be answered about pre-selection screening processes – it's time to back Moira.

Victorians deserve that women and girls – and indeed all Victorians – have strong, principled representatives in public life.

Victorian Liberal members have voted to remove Moira Deeming from the Western Metro Upper House ticket in replacement of Dinesh Gourisetty.

This means that Moira will not be able to contest for re-election in the Upper House for the Liberals at this year's 2026 Victorian state election.

Bad move. Victorian Liberals will pay a huge political price for this.

Renee Hoberman, a children's therapist from Long Island, NY was arrested last week for the distribution of child p**nogr*phy.

Hoberman allegedly uploaded videos of infants being r**ped to social media and posed as a man online to chat with other users about abusing young children.

This person worked WITH KIDS.
