VETERAN, C-19 "Vaccine" injured. Previous Airline Transport Pilot, Master Mariner, Commercial Driver, Open Water SCUBA Diver. ALL GONE BECAUSE OF THE VACCINE.
@tleehumphrey@johnsemalhuis Even civilian companies need to be ITAR compliant. When I flew the S92A in offshore oil & gas out of St. John’s, NL. There were severs components that were subject to ITAR and required a “Controlled Goods Clearance” to fly the machine.
We have been at DEFCON FOUR for years.
DEFCON (Defense Readiness Condition) is the U.S. military's alert scale for readiness posture. It runs from 5 (lowest) to 1 (highest):
•DEFCON 5: Normal peacetime readiness.
•DEFCON 4: Increased intelligence gathering and tighter security measures.
•DEFCON 3: Increase in force readiness above normal; forces ready to mobilize in about 15 minutes. Air Force readiness rises.
•DEFCON 2: Further increase; forces ready to deploy and engage in about 6 hours. One step short of war.
•DEFCON 1: Maximum readiness; forces ready for immediate combat.
The CAF has fallen along with Canada.
U.S. troops can take us over in just 24 hours or less.
Call me a traitor or whatever the fuck, but it’s true. Elbows up 🥴
@tleehumphrey For a guy who actually flew as a TACCO in the Sea King, he has a very poor grasp of need vs capability, regardless of his pontification. He didn’t really stay around long enough in the CAF to be considered “experienced”
Surrounded by an aura of fairy dust and unicorn farts, most Canadians are madly in love with the Pied Piper of Canada, Mark Carney, who will lead them off of a fiscal cliff, a cultural cliff, and a foreign policy cliff.
In my 50 years of watching Canadian politics, it blows my mind.
Yes it is. It just needs to comply with ITAR if it wants to shop American. The buyer must comply, or go somewhere else. And since almost nothing in the military aviation sphere is completely ITAR free, except Russian/Chinese gear. That’s the only other source; however, buying that stuff will bring on an entirely different set of problems.
And just like that millions of obese disabled government media spoon fed boomers will flap their underarm fat hoisting their elbows up in collective outrage.
Expect high winds that smell of A5-35 and Pfizer.
They can’t even spell “ITAR” it will be used to kill any Gripen purchase by a rogue failing state.
ITAR is the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, a set of U.S. export control rules administered by the State Department's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). It governs the export, re-export, and transfer of defense-related articles, services, and technical data.
What kind? The same kind of Govt that buys 100 Bell 412EP helicopters that nobody wanted and tells the CAF to find a job for them, the same kind of Govt that buys a fleet of otherwise unsellable Challenger 600s to clear out Bombardiers used airplane lot, and tells the Air Force to find a job for them. The same kind of Govt that buys a fleet of Boeing 707s to bail out a failing foreign airline when the CAF had a programme to buy the C-141 Star Lifter ready to go. Etc, etc.
I fully expect the current govt to completely screw up the fighter purchase. As for the AEW&C aircraft. It doesn’t have AAR capability so will have no endurance on em on station in the Arctic unless new support bases are built for them to gas up. Worse than useless.
Justin Trudeau went on national TV and asked how long Canada should “tolerate” a group of its own citizens.
That group was the unvaccinated. In the same interview he called them racists and misogynists.
Shawn Buckley asks Alberta audiences one question: did you believe the army would come to your door? Most hands go up.
How does a country heal from that?
The Army Aviation part of the RCAF (yes it is an obvious non-sequitur) wanted black hawks when their old Twin Huey’s and Kiowas were used up, but no, Marcel Masse dropped 100 Bell 412EPs on them so they could make them in Mirabel after the disastrous airport debacle.
Nobody expected that and the “Griffin” as it came to be known was poor at everything and master of nothing. It got people killed in Afghanistan where a Black Hawk wouldn’t have.
Now they going to screw it up again.
The restaurant industry reports that Canadians are eating out less because of financial constraints.
Affordability is the least of why Canadians are abandoning chain restaurants.
The article totally ignores that temporary foreign workers across Canada have destroyed hygiene and customer service standards, replaced local teens looking to enter the workplace... and that restaurants fired neighbourhood widows and seniors who needed to augment their pitiful government pensions.
Canadians have had enough of simply trying to order a coffee and a breakfast sandwich at @McDonalds or @TimHortons from a person who doesn't speak English or French - and ending up with nothing like they wanted.
We are so tired of washrooms that are reminiscent of the worst of Mumbai's open defecation. So tired of filthy tables and floors - and seeing cooks picking their toenails in the back kitchen. Really.
We've had enough of Tim's buying apartment buildings and evicting Canadian tenants so foreign workers can move in.
It will be a cold day in hell before I go to Tim's or McDonalds again... or any restaurant that fires Canadians and hires government-subsidized foreigners.
It's nothing to do with the price of a coffee and a sandwich.
Pierre is right on both counts. The facts are not complicated.
Canada sits on one of the largest energy reserves on Earth. The Americans are so short of reliable supply they signed a deal with Russia for diesel. We could be producing and shipping that diesel from Canadian oil sands, refined here, putting welders, pipefitters, and industrial tradespeople to work at real wages. That is leverage. That is building. That is paycheques, revenue, and energy security for North America.
Instead, after a year and a half of Mark Carney’s big infrastructure promises, zero shovels are in the ground. Not one major project has moved. The same pattern for more than a decade under the Liberals: endless announcements, regulatory barriers, and delays while our resources stay in the ground and capital leaves the country.
Look under the hood. We have the resources, the workers, and the market next door. What we do not have is a government that will clear the path and let Canadians build. The Liberals regulate, tax, lecture, and promise. They do not deliver pipelines, ports, mines, or power projects at the speed or scale the country needs. While other nations move, we watch potential sit idle.
My grandchildren should inherit a country that turns its advantages into jobs, wealth, and strength — not one that talks about potential while systematically blocking the means to achieve it. Results, not rhetoric. Build, or get out of the way of those who will.
