Hey @espn…
We’re watching Marshall at Ga. Southern on ESPNU.
When you use local announcers to call games on a national feed, do they know they should call it straight?
The guys working this game are shameless homers.
@KSPrior One of my favorite growing-up memories is when a late night thunderstorm would roll in.
We’d turn off the lights and sit in front of the picture window in our little ranch house. Mom would pop some popcorn and we’d just watch the show…
@BeschlossDC I was in HS.
I couldn’t vote yet but had been a Nixon fan. After all the drama and unrest of that summer, I wasn’t sorry to see him go but still felt pity for him.
I transferred my loyalty to Ford, until Carter came along. He got my first vote and I’ve never voted R for prez.
JD Vance says that Kamala Harris is a “childless cat lady” who is “miserable” with her life because she didn’t have children, and that not having children means that she doesn’t have “a direct stake” in America. Story. https://t.co/EbOQzT7lXC
@BethMooreLPM@deaninserra There you go, Beth, offering a logical, reasonable, and probably accurate explanation when there are so many conspiracy theories to choose from.
Who is like the Lord?
Who but the Lord does not tire of our need?
Who but the Lord cannot defraud us nor deceive?
Who but the Lord is such unbearable light, he wraps himself in darkness lest we perish at the sight?
Who but the Lord, being Love, cannot love us less without becoming less?
No one can be the Lord to us but the Lord. Forsake false saviors. Cast aside idols.
There is only one who saves, one who delivers, one who frees, one who forgives and redeems, one who pulls our feet of clay whole from the muddy miry pit.
Only one whose very words are spirit and life.
To whom would we go??? Where else in this world will we find anyone who compares??
There is only one who is our shield and our glory and the lifter of our head. Only one who can raise us from the dead.
Only one. He is our song and our salvation. We bow our knees to Christ alone.
@ElieNYC I’m well past your cutoff age, so I knew it.
But I did give the question to my seventeen year old grandson.
He replied, “Supreme executive power….”
I’m proud of that kid.
Canceling student debt
Taxing the rich
Protecting abortion access
Receipts. Proof. Timeline.
This has been a life-changing presidency & @POTUS isn't done yet.
@emilykmay Our granddaughter was non-verbal until about 6yo. She’s 12 now and still has a lot of challenges.
When she was little, she was into the old PBS show WordWorld. We learned every episode.
We all fretted about it, but it was often the only that that would help her regulate.
@emilykmay I suspect (ie, have no reliable evidence) that there may be some “correlation does not equal causation” with that theory.
It seems that a lot of kids on the spectrum get obsessive about certain screen activities. It does them no harm but stresses parents out.
@emilykmay@Broken_Devotion I love the one who said, “I didn’t read what you wrote, but here’s what I think…”
No wonder that nuance is dead. (Or at least on life support.)
@emilykmay@Broken_Devotion Thanks for sharing that, Emily.
I guarantee that he and I have little in common politically, but his thinking and analysis are spot on (and shouldn’t be controversial.)
The attacks come straight from the right’s playbook.
@jdunwell I’m sure that our politics don’t align, but
your analysis of this situation from a Christian and a governmental perspective is spot on.
If more believers had nuanced guidance like this from their leaders our testimony wouldn’t be in shambles.
