Just to be clear: the incoming Trump administration is going to war against their own GOP senate majority and the constitution's advice & consent provision so they can make a man investigated for *sex trafficking a minor* into the most powerful law enforcement officer in the country.
@RBReich 🙏🏼
If things progress as they seem to be, in 20 years or so Republicans will be Dixiecrats and Dems 100% establishment elites.
Can this be reversed? Not sure.
@chrislhayes There is a whole branch of mathematics on voting systems. Our current system is definitely the worst.
Systems that let you give an opinion on multiple choices are better.
@gcccmharding@elijahdaniel Words have consequences. OP just exercising his freedom of speech!
What Trump represents goes way beyond politics! You idiots are about to own everything. Fuck around and find out.
I could be wrong (and I hope I am), but I'm convinced Trump intends to shock and terrify the world, and frighten us all into obedience, in his first forty-eight hours.
Do. Not. Comply.
I won't list what I think will be in those Exec Orders. Read Project 2025. All at once.

@TimOBrien Again, college-educated white women voted 58-41 for Harris. Non-college-educated white women, like their white male counterparts, voted 2-to-1 TRUMP. It's getting boring pointing this out to people who have a pre-set narrative.
@highbrow_nobrow Even plain ol’, church approved, missionary sex with the wife will work just fine! Just need to keep a cup near the bed.
If this was a real concern, ain’t exactly hard to come up with alternatives.
@vanillaopinions I can’t find the numbers to prove it, but I believe this was a turnout issue more than a change in preference. I know youth vote was down and Harris failed to turn out the base.
Some young men have been persuaded by the “alpha male” ridiculousness, but most still liberal.
I owe Green Party voters an apology. Kamala Harris lost by 4.6 million votes. The Green Party didn’t even reach 650K. Democrats did not lose because of the Green Party. Establishment Democrats lost because they have abandoned the 40% of their party who voted for Bernie Sanders.
This is an important point. More than anything it was the inflation that killed the Democrats.
While I still blame Harris for pushing the base away instead of trying to turn them out, this was an issue worldwide.
We’re going to hear lots of stories about which people, policies and rhetoric are to blame for the Democrats’ defeat.
Some of those stories may even be true!
But an underrated factor is that 2024 was an absolutely horrendous year for incumbents around the world 👇
