READ: The Assumption Student Council released a statement following the petition seeking the removal of alumna and Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda’s portrait from the Wall of Empowered Women on their campus.

The council said the senator’s recent political actions “no longer reflect the values” of the institution.

“We express our earnest hope that Senator Legarda will confront this moment with integrity and a clear sense of duty,” it added.
