Ledecky's 15:24.51 is going to be talked about for a long time, and rightly so but,
2025 NCAA Champ in the 1650, Jillian Cox, posted a new PB of 16:04.13, dropping 3.16 off her previous best.
Folks, this summer is going to be exciting.
For reference, Ledecky's 15:24.51 is the 2nd fastest performance ever. Faster than both her Olympic winning times.

Does France bring in Leon Marchand and have him swim three 200s in one session to help France fight for a medal? If two tough swims are a dirty double, then what is three?
I saw a bald eagle🦅 on my swim yesterday, so maybe it's a sign of Gold Medals to come for Team USA. Sadly, no kangaroos🦘 or dolphins🐬.
To be fully honest, though, I'd rather see a Kangaroo or dolphin in the wilds of Massachusetts than a USA Gold medal.🤷♂️SorryNotSorry.
@ebeisel34 doing the national anthem: cool
Beisel warming up to Seven Nation Army this afternoon for a few stragglers left in the building: awesome #weusedtobeteammates#ABF
Shout-out to home state swimming (Go Celtics!!!) as @sacswim’s Will Mulgrew finished 3rd (15:14.88) in his heat of the 1500 and currently sits 3rd overall with one heat remaining. Nervous wait now to see if he makes the final.

It may look and seem like an empty stadium but the cheering and applause for the duel between Lance Norris and Josh Brown in the 4th heat of the 1500 shows that the 1500 isn’t boring.
Some may find 6 heats of the mile too many, but it’s an entertaining session because A) seeing the reaction of the families who have waited this long to see their athlete swim is great and B) Missy Franklin & Katie Hoff are sitting next to me working so..
