The idea that raising children is not the most important thing is really downstream from a disbelief that being is good. Without that axiom, all else falls pretty quickly. It also makes more sense, selfishness, materialism, all of this is downstream from improerly prioritizing being.
Likely the people who buy such things are in the middle class which is making more money at the same time. However, the change in average income distance between classes is likely still increasing. That is more important. The poor people already adjusted to a new set of expenses after Obama.
@anecdotal Or never be exposed. I just learned recently that exposing an academic argument to the public is precisely the touch point of the Reformation.
The problem of Objective Material Reality (where scientists tend to stand) shows quite clearly when they talk about money being misallocated. They seem to be assuming equality as a starting point and in effectiveness to address different issues. This is all middle out thinking with equality doctrine. Turning really good thinkers into poor problem solvers.
