34 years ago today, Alice in Chains released "Dirt."
The album hit No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and has gone 5x Platinum, carried by "Would?", "Them Bones", "Angry Chair", "Rooster" and "Down in a Hole." Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell made it in the spring and summer of 1992, and it became the band's most successful record.
Still one of the heaviest albums of the grunge era.
