Spent some time with Ange Postecoglou this week - a fascinating bloke. We spoke about immigration, his inspirations and why #Celtic history chimes with his story. I made this with @83AdamC
💚Powerful. Emotional. Unmissable.
Ange Postecoglou sits down to give us an in-depth look into his life. From difficult times in Greece to moving to Australia, the @CelticFC manager tells us his story.
You can only speak as you find, but in my dealings with him, first when Feynoord played Celtic, and subsequently at our place, Arne was always sound to work with. Good humoured, open, and thoroughly decent at every turn - and that’s before you add in the league 🏆.
We regret to announce that the knee injury sustained by Billy Gilmour in today’s win over Curaçao will rule him out of participation in @FIFAWorldCup.
We're all with you, Billy 💙
Just watched the Untold UK - miracle of Istanbul documentary (I will never tire of watching docs about Istanbul 😍) lots of great archive beyond the game itself, which is of course the greatest game of all time. 🏆
@acciesbook2010 Think he’s said Toney can get thrown on up with Kane if chasing a goal, which is true to a point…Ultimately in isolation leaving out TAA, Palmer, Foden is justifiable based on their seasons. Wharton unlucky, as he is the future, but TT very much about the here and now!
Quite a fan of Thomas Tuchel picking a World Cup squad on form and his preferences over past reputations… that said he’s left some amount of talent out 😬
As an aside, official panini sticker book has TAA, Foden and Palmer in it… the joys of deadlines …
Hearts have been brilliant this season. I understand their city rivals revelling in them falling short today, but everyone else in the Scottish Premiership should be applauding them for reminding us all - players, coaches, fans, media + particularly boardrooms - what is possible.
Lead sports story on BBC national news, 24 hours on… Scottish premiership title race… seize the moment… show those that don’t know, why Scottish football is so brilliant/bonkers. And let’s be clear it is both of those things.
More eyes on Scottish football than there have been in a very long time (for good and bad reasons…) I hope the clubs and leagues capitalise on this opportunity moving forward…
@pablomac67 I don’t know if definitely it does tho. But like I say, in 2026, if your hand is that high, and near the ball you’re at risk. It feels like one that 90% of fans would say wasn’t a pen in an ideal world, but in current climate can be a pen.
On last night … I always say in this era if hand above shoulder you’re leaving yourself open to something going against you. That said, is it clear obvious error, did it conclusively hit his hand, and if so did it in any way change direction of the ball, prob a no on all those.
@pablomac67 I’m not sure you can say definitely it did tho, and you can’t definitely say it was a clear and obvious error… but as I say, as soon as your hand goes above the shoulder it’s open season. For me it’s not handball, but in 2026, not the biggest scandal on earth it’s been given.
And away from the main event, love him or loathe him, James Tavernier deserved better. That level of service and commitment is rare in this day and age, he deserved his moment to say goodbye properly. Rangers as a club should have done better. Well done John Greig.

Two wrongs don’t make a right and all that… but at least 2 Arsenal players with their arms round West Ham players during the foul on Raya. Right decision to disallow the goal but Arsenal aren’t exactly angels at set pieces…
