On Friday the 28th August, E-Bus Xpress Kiira Ltd will be launching its E-BUS express service in Kira Municipality at the Kira Playground, starting at 09:00 HRS. I have received my personal (others are saying personalised), golden card invite from Eng. lan John Kavuma the Managing Director of E-Bus Xpress Kiira Ltd, to grace the occasion.
Of course, some of you will wonder, why a guy who Drives a powerful big car would be invited to such an occasion. Well, needless to say, I am one of the posh guys of Kira Municipality so my presence will naturally add pomp and color to the occasion. Secondly, as a long-term resident of the area, who has seen the evolution of Kira, I can certainly tell the story of the transport difficulties, from bad roads, weather-beaten saloon car taxis of Kireka, ganyegenya taxis (many have picked vermin from those ramshackled pieces of ironmongery) and of course the bad drivers of Najeera (@DuncanAbigaba inclusive, we have long suffered. As such I deserve to be invited.
The launch, which will roll out 30 (brand new) electric buses for three routes: Ntinda-Najjera-Kira-Nakwero; Ntinda-Naalya-Kyaliwajjala-Namugongo- Sonde and Ntinda-Kisasi - Kyanja-Kungu comes as a welcome relief and must be fully welcomed as without doubt it will greatly ease transport for the residents of that precinct.
As well, to give credit where it is due, Government (as well as my emupi @GeorgeMusisi4 and our mayor @Bulamu256 ) must be congratulated, thanked and highly praised. Organized, predictable and decent public transport is the backbone of rapid development for areas such as Kira.
It is for this reason that I ask those who can make it, to come and grace the occasion, you never know we can use the day to meet and greet.
RDC Amuria Mr Paul Eseru has commissioned a 27 KM Acuna-Orungo-Morungatuny-Aojakitoi road. The road was constructed under one billion fund at a cost of 270 million. He was accompanied by Hon Vincent Etolu who represented Hon Isaac Okello Omiat the District Chairperson.
I dont know how I feel about the fact that this legend left South African taxis out of this.
But, having been on those famous Kampala boda bodas, that UG scene is ridiculous. 🤣
A will alone is not enough. This symposium is about life, not death. Estate planning, which is one of the services we provide at TARA Advocates, is a way to prepare yourself to maintain your legacy.

One of the most embarrassing things in what passes for Ugandan officialdom and state rituals, is the eating of food when discussing very, very important matters. It's something worse than an insult

You've spent years building your business.
But have you ever asked yourself what happens if you're suddenly no longer there to run it?
For many business owners, the business is in their head.
The passwords.
The key relationships.
The decisions.
The plans.
Everything revolves around them.
Then one unexpected event happens.
And suddenly the people left behind are trying to figure out what comes next.
Can the business continue?
Who takes over?
Where are the important documents?
What was the plan?
These aren't questions families and business partners should be asking during a crisis.
They're questions that should be answered long before one arrives.
Business continuity isn't about expecting the worst.
It's about protecting everything you've worked so hard to build.
That's why conversations around succession, governance, and estate planning matter.
Because a successful business should be able to outlive its founder.
Join us at the TARA Estate Planning Symposium 2026 as we explore:
↳ Business continuity and succession
↳ Estate and legacy planning
↳ Protecting wealth across generations

🇺🇬 One person. Every 97 minutes. Dead on a Uganda road. 5,383 last year. Possibly 8,000 if you count the ones nobody recorded. The Grim Reaper has a favourite hunting ground. It is called the Kampala-Jinja highway at 7pm on a Friday.
