Graham: The tax rates since 2017, the top rate has been 37%. If these tax cuts expire… It will go back to the 39.6% rate. How much should the federal government take of anybody's income? What's a fair share? 37% seems pretty damn fair to me. This is not rewarding the wealthy…
WELKER: When does it become the Trump economy?
TRUMP: It partially is right now. I think the good parts are the Trump economy and the bad parts are the Biden economy
Started reading this tweet and got excited bc I thought it was another take about fighting the gorilla but now I’m sad. Wanted to read more stuff about fighting the gorilla.
59 out of the first 64 men taken in the first two rounds of the NFL draft were black men. But because one of the wasn't the below average son of Deion Sanders, the race hustlers are out blaming it on RaCisM 🥱
What’s wild to me about all of this is the reason the US has shifted a lot of jobs offshore is literally BECAUSE of capitalism. It’s bc companies need to grow endlessly so they look to non-US markets for resources.
Making America “great again” in this framing means losing money
BREAKING: In an absurd moment, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick says that Americans should just “let Trump run the global economy… he's been talking about it for 35 years.”
During those 35 years, he's gone bankrupt six times.
The “well this aged like milk” montages of this fucking cartoony idiot’s takes are going to be awesome to watch later, while we’re all huddled around a single Lenovo laptop in like Kansas or some shit.
Lutnick: The operation has happened, the patient is in bed and starting to recover.. we just had to wait for the AI technology boom to be here now to let us compete with all the cheap labor all around the world
So it’s fine to be excited about this and enjoy it. I kinda hate the demonization of people having fun with this. What I do want to demonize is if people can’t tell or appreciate the difference.
Been thinking a lot about the use of this tech to impersonate a really fantastic, joyful and well-loved art style.
On one hand I have to appreciate the convenience of turning a pic of me and my son from Father’s Day last year into a rendition of a Ghibli portrait. But…
My concern with this is that society will end up forgetting how to appreciate art that has real heft. AI tech will keep getting better, zero doubt. My doubts are more that humans will stop caring about the difference and allow true art’s economic replacement, piece by piece.
