๐ค A great meeting with Chris Marsh last week - son of Marcos co-founder, Jem Marsh. The support of the Marsh family is always welcome when discussing our vehicle projects and brand strategy.
Chris is a true petrolhead and racer. Having raced against Ayrton Senna in Formula Ford back in the day, Chris became a successful crew chief, winning the Sebring 12hr race in 1986.
He successfully led the Marcos factory-works LM600 assault on the 24hrs of Le Mans in 1995, decades years after his father before him. Chris still races his 1965 Marcos LM1800 an 1968 GT 1800 today.

@JeremyClarkson Well thatโs easy Jeremy. Haas. If you play it like a certain person did in 2019, you donโt pay for the sponsorship, walk away, and use all the image assets and assume the status of an F1 person in perpetuity. Genius! Youโve got to give him credit - Haas certainly didโฆ
๐ซจ Lost for over 50 years, but rediscovered in a Portuguese barn to be meticulously restored to 100% period-correct specs. @CandSCmagazine tells the story of "La Puce Bleue" - The Blue Flea, the legendary 1966 Le Mans Mini Marcos.

๐ฌ๐ง The "Mar" in Marcos. Jeremy George Weston Marsh - otherwise known as "Jem" - co-founded Marcos alongside Frank Costin in 1959.
Born in Bristol, Jem left school aged 16 to join the Royal Navy with no more than a qualification in woodworking. Little did he know at the time that this would have quite the effect on Marcos vehicles created in later decades - namely, their lightweight marine-plywood chassis.
Standing at 6ft4โ, Jem's stature dictated the unique shape of early Marcos models. The famous "lighthouse" roofline of the Xylon was a functional necessity so that Jem could drive the car.

๐ฐ Who can blame him? Mark Edwards was on the hunt for a new family wagon, but he returned home after making a far wiser decision.
This Marcos GT 3-litre from 1969 has been thoroughly maintained since arriving at Mark's garage. It already had over 69,000 miles on the odometer, and it's ready for another 69,000.

๐ฉบ Marcos Motor Company is proud to support @CharityDEBRA - The Butterfly Skin Charity. A key fundraising activity is the annual supercar tour. This yearโs event, the Tour du Loire, takes place from 17-21 September, in association with long-time Marcos and DEBRA partner, @morelligroup.
@CharityDEBRA supports people living with epidermolysis bullosa or EB, an extremely painful genetic skin condition which causes the skin to blister and tear at the slightest touch. There is currently no cure.
The 2026 DEBRA Morelli Marcos Tour du Loire is a four-night event across France, starting and finishing at the Barriere Westminster hotel in Le Touquet, and featuring a two-night stay at the Relais de Chambord hotel, an SLH property, adjacent to the Chateau de Chambord.
This year is the 60th anniversary of the Mini Marcos taking on the mighty Ferrari and Ford at the 1966 Le Mans 24-hour race. So, Marcos will be marking this on the event ๐ ...
There are no restrictions on the cars participants can bring, but previous events have seen marques from Ferraris and Porsches to Bentleys and Rolls-Royces, and of course, the odd Marcos.
If you own an exotic car and would like to know more about the Tour du Loire, please visit https://t.co/KHHOqJxehF. Alternatively, visit https://t.co/1yLVgwewln to donate and support this worthy cause.
๐ช Nicknamed "The Brute", the Marcos LM600 brought a sledgehammer to the fencing match that was GT racing with its 6.0L Chevy V8. It was loud, wide, and, most importantly, fast. Winning the British GT2 Championship in its debut year in 1995, The Brute also frequently outpaced GT1 cars such as the McLaren F1 on more technical tracks, where its massive torque and handling prowess gave it the edge in the corners.

โฑ๏ธ 2026 marks six whole decades since the plucky Mini Marcos took the chequered flag at Le Mans in 1966 - the only British car to do so. You might remember that year for the famous battle between the American and Italian marques - there was a Hollywood movie about it - but we remember it more for what is arguably the Mini Marcos' finest hour (or 24?).

๐ฎ๐น Did you know... Before Frank Costin co-founded Marcos with Jem Marsh back in 1959, he worked with Italian marque Maserati to create the 450S Costin Zagato; a one-of-a-kind, 400HP, V8-powered coupe derived from the 450S driven by Fangio, Moss and Shelby.
Costin redesigned the car as a coupe for Le Mans in 1957 after it struggled with instability in previous races. While the body was constructed by Zagato, the design was purely Costinโs vision, moving away from the traditional open-cockpit style to create a beautifully streamlined, low-drag GT.

๐ธ Before he was dabbling in martinis and smooth one-liners, Sir Roger Moore was the helmsman of a Marcos 1600 GT in the final episode of the 1960s television show, The Saint. The GT - registration BAR 64F - was damaged during filming, and only recently restored by Marcos Heritage before being auctioned by @Bonhams1793. A feature by @octane_magazine tells the full story of this rather suave machine.
