@ronmortgageguy False, NZ imports most of its fuel from Singapore and South Korea with only a very small portion from China. We also have a preferential supply agreement with Singapore if the shit really hits the fan. We’d be fucked even if we kept the refinery, given it only supplied 20%.

@Infideliter2022 @seeby Brent isn’t the price that NZ depends on these days. Brent is priced in the North Sea, basically the exact opposite side of the world. If you look at prices for crude landed in Singapore it’s US 180-200 a barrel.
