@GergelyOrosz@_hdarabi I am based in the UK and could opt out before, but have just had a mail from LinkedIn saying "we are not enabling training for generative AI on member data from ... and the United Kingdom", and now https://t.co/KtHkHT9mDa ties in with this, so looks like they've tweaked.
Anyone have experience on how long it takes @British_Airways to refund expenses (hotels, food, airport parking) incurred due to a cancelled flight? Waiting 2 months so far with no response.
@GergelyOrosz That struck a chord - previously I became an email processor, with most work driven by new emails.
I always tried to only touch an email once if possible, twice at most.
Now I am astonished people have an Inbox with thousands of emails - could not imagine living like that!
@sueperkins If you joined the https://t.co/i8VbzVTFdW server, email was held up, but resolved overnight:

The ongoing issue with e-mail delivery has been resolved and the backlog of e-mails are now clearing through.
DBeaver 6.2.1 release has brought us three new databases: H2GIS, Kognitio, Opendistro (Elasticsearch). Two of them were added by community members. 🤝 If you think your DB also has to be in the DBeaver list, you always welcome. #dbeaver_releases#dbeaver_dbs

What happened to Hadoop?
A retrospective on Hadoop's emergence as the poster child for Big Data, and the trends that have seen the hype around it decrease at https://t.co/lKYKAMUGxR

@jaymulford@Chris_Mellor Not sure MapR had good growth prospects though - trying to find a buyer for months following funding difficulties, and poor first quarter numbers as customers/prospects postponed subscriptions, so looks like the desperately needed to be bought.

@dottedSquirrel Recalls hype during the initial rise of NoSQL.
NoSQL is now more likely to mean "Not Only SQL", as most realised SQL is essential for many tasks, rather than a boil-the-ocean solution.
Also, a long time since a decent SQL database was designed to run on a single server!
