Hey @RipleysAquaCA — there’s really no reason your staff should be wearing Palestine pins. I’m there to see the fish — not to learn about the politics of your employees. In one of the world’s most Jewish cities you really should do better. It’s pathetic.
We encourage Democrats of all faiths and backgrounds who love our country and oppose extremism to join us on November 3rd to defeat Abdul El-Sayed.
Country over party. Retweet and follow if you agree.
I want to congratulate Canada’s Advisory Council on Rights, Equality and Inclusion on completing its first meeting. 6 months after replacing the country’s dedicated combatting antisemitism envoy and 2 months after being told by PM Carney that antisemitism was its urgent priority, members report they are still getting to know each other. No agenda or work plan.
By happy coincidence, a survey commissioned by that abolished envoy was published this week: 96% of 🇨🇦 Jewish students encountered antisemitism on campus, and one in five reported physical violence.
The dead office is outworking the live one.
Time for some brutal truth-telling (if only truth mattered anymore):
Ukraine is getting ~$3.8-7B a year in U.S. Aid
Jordan: $1.1-1.7B
Egypt: $1.3-1.5B
Ethiopa: up to $1.3B
Oh, I could go on, but it may be easier to just say that total foreign American aid to all countries approaches or exceeds $80B. Israel is a drop in the bucket.
So why isn’t there constant outrage and proposed legislation to remove all aid from all of these other countries, some of which are horrifically persecuting/enslaving Christians and other minority groups, enforcing Sharia law, or committing the most egregious violations of human rights?
@TuckerCarlson? @JDVance? @RoKhanna? @AOC? @RashidaTlaib? @Ilhan? @megynkelly? @NYCMayor? @bradlander?
Why aren't you fraudulent stand-for-nothing fools talking about this incessantly?
Explain yourselves.
@brhodes@AbdulElSayed AIPAC. Wow. For all the attention they get they must be huge donors. Wouldn't know that they represent less than 1% of direct lobby spending, less than 1.4% of campaign contributions, and less than 1% of outside election spending.
She attended Jarvis Collegiate Institute and studied fine arts at the Ontario College of Art, and philosophy and religion at Victoria College in the University of Toronto. In 1979, she graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in fine art from the University of Guelph.
She's been a politician her whole life. School trustee, councilor, MP, and now mayor.
She has zero skills whatsoever, barely speaks English, has never thought deeply about issues, never built anything, but people keep electing her to office.
Today I ended 18 years with @telus as my cell provider. Up until 6 months ago they had always been decent to deal with. Recently they had 3 major strikes against them and with my Bring-it-Back period ending this week, I decided it was time for a change.
What should have been a straightforward process turned into a masterclass in Kafkaesque customer service - that will now stretch into tomorrow.
If anyone is considering @telus - don't.
@MarkJCarney "We will continue to bring forward concrete measures to combat antisemitism". No. Don't continue doing whatever it is you think you're doing. Do something ELSE. Do SOMETHING!!
@lesliechurch@SPVM Deeply saddened to see you tweet yet again. Deeply saddened that you will CONTINUE to work to empower law enforcement, blah, blah, blah. Maybe time to try something different.
After yesterday’s BRILLIANT speech by Mark Carney at the Holy Blossom Synagogue, he announced a stellar line up of people to serve on a council to help combat Jew hatred, including Omar Alghabra and Avnish Nanda! They both promised to stop attacking Jews, which will undoubtedly see a major decline in Antisemitism and Antizionism in Canada, so well done sir!
Today, the Prime Minister announced 2 new members for his “Committee on Combatting Racism towards Black Canadians”.
Brilliant!
