In John 15, Jesus reminds us that His goal for us is not success or comfort in this world.
Our time here on earth is the shortest phase of our existence, and it’s an eternal tragedy to place all of our hopes, dreams, energy, and effort into it.
We were made for heaven.
Father, give us the wisdom to enjoy this life that you have given us on earth in such a way as to prepare us for the eternal life to come.
Amen

Let's take note of what's different on this particular (dreaded) Tax Day. Not only are Americans being asked to transfer hard-earned $$ to a spendy-happy government, but are doing so after inflation has spent the past two years robbing them of pay hikes and purchasing power.
Flexing games from Sunday to Thursday is a terrible idea for two main reasons:
1) Player Safety
You can’t make this decision and also preach that player safety is a priority.
2) Fans
People spending hard earned money to see their team play. Who’s paying to change their plans?
